I understand no dogs when they are allowed to roam free but I wonder why no dogs on a leash. When we were there I saw at least two feral cats hunting penguins 🐧

The aroma given off by dogs is a reason for the penguins to seek shelter elsewhere, the same applies to the widlife in National Parks. Cats, be they domestic or feral are the scurge of Australian wildlife.

No George, cats are beautiful it is the humans that are the scourge of everything. Look what us humans do to all animals. Until humans take responsibility for our own actions then things will stay the same. Notice that humans always have to blame everything else other than ourselves? IMHO ;)
I would ban the feral sprogs for more damage done everywhere but they don't get blamed or culled.

I guess we all have our opinions on this subject.
I used to get so angry when my next door neighbours cat used to bring back poor little geckos every evening.
The force all dogs to be on leads but I never saw a dog with a gecko or swallow in it's mouth.

:) :)
still comes down to irresponsible human owners . The woman at the back of us reckons her cat hates being inside at night hence it is sitting on our bird cages and comes right up to our doors, tell her and she giggles. I told her to put the cat in the laundry at night then she said it makes a noise WTF Twat.. She will wonder why her rampaging vines will be starting to brown off soon :) Bernie I can not under any circumstances believe that you are such a goodie goodie ..

I am Dot ...just ask me...Everyone of the caravans that were camped there had the tap open from the grey water tank (if they had one ) open to the ground....a real NO NO.. The other motorhome there had no damp patch that I could see when we left .

I read a report from parks and wild life they estimate over 200.000 feral cats in Tasssie that's a lot of our wildlife dying each and every day.
I do have a photo from a fellow archer of a feral cat with its stomach open with some 50+ small native's inside .

Agree with you on the worlds most dangerest animal Dot . But not all are as you are with your "pussie"

I have the same sediment as George on cats sorry . Carol the same she is allergic to cat fur .

Some bad news my camera has a problem it shows on the screen " card not initialised " ?? and wont take photo's any ideas I cant find on the menu anything about the card ....suggestions ?

Tell the camera to format the card. You'll lose anything on the card but you'd lose them anyway.
If you pop the card in your puter you might be able to save them.
I gotta do that a fair bit.
Make sure you get all pics off the camera each time you go back to your 'home'.
