Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Morning all woke up to heavy rain and looks like squalls coming through most of the day. Had a nice feed of homemade pizza last night with enough left over for lunch today.

Started some modifications in the back of the ute yesterday for the new switch panel. Still working on the repacement battery system when all information is in.

Was planning on a drive but with the squalls looks like a day at home

Have a great day cheers Robert

Good morning All, a beautiful morning here at 13* and 21* max forecast, just right for some mowing when the time allows it. I have already removed all the sticks that have blown in during the last couple of windy days. I can then get on with some preparation for painting.

Morning all.

Just a quiet Sunday. Might go to the driving range. It looks like all my lessons to get rid of the slice are finally paying off. I never thought I'd be thinking about trying to draw a ball to the left.

Robert; " Still working on the repacement battery system when all information is in." what batteries are you doing?

Good luck with the questions Jon!
A few of 'us' have attempted to ask a question of RnB and get no response at all.
Probably need to go thru Dot to find out?

Margaret is still writing the estimate, just needs a surname to put on the estimate at the moment .... even Dottie didn't know that one .... who would 'ave thunk it possible

Which model Enerdrive battery is it.
Some of them have a blue tooth enabled battery monitoring system ("BMS")which shows things like SOC. eg
https://enerdrive.com.au/product/epower ... m-battery/

Q: assuming it is a bluetooth BMS battery, how do you plan to update the capacity in the BMS settings? Is it possible?
This one is an actual Enerdrive installed system, not one of their drop in batteries. They use a rebranded ePro BMV, so it's just a matter of updating the capacity, similar to the method used for the Victron BMV. Not sure in the Enerdrive BMV uses a plug in module to give the Bluetooth output the same as Victron did for their earlier 700BMV, or if they now have an equivalent to the Victron 712BMV with the built in Bluetooth function. With the Victron 712BMV, the setting can be changed via a smart phone .... this has it's good points and bad points. The owner can fiddle with settings and completely stuff it up, or if they don't change their access password, anyone with the Victron Connect app can go in there and wreak havoc without anyone being any the wiser ,,,, fortunately our BMS system has some many fall back positions designed for redundancy, it can also catch out any part of the system that is not doing what it should and shuts the battery down if there is a risk of damaging it. At that point, the customer rings us and we go through all the systems with them so we can determine what caused the problem, then correct it and they learn the hard way about changing their password.

Replacing the second battery in the ute died on the way back from Darwin.

Still doing a few experiments in the van to see what is going on there. Batteries are good but the 12v was dimming and cutting out.

Terry will send pm with surname thank you.
