Re: Good morning daily
George check out if there was a recall on that fuel pump.
I know it was on the Indonesian one plus other countries.

The replacement pump has arrived and now that Julie has gone to work I don't have a vehicle with which to do anything. Bruce, it is a 20yo car.

Re: Good morning daily
Does the fuel tank have to come out to replace the pump George? Or is there a removable plate in the floor to access the fuel tank and pump cover?
Have you checked there is power going to the pump for 10 secs when you first turn the ignition on? It could be a failed relay or fusible link/fuse and not the pump itself. If you do have to replace the pump, be sure to replace the filter screen/sock as well

Re: Good morning daily
Terry, the tank has to be removed and I have checked the fuel pump relay as well as swapping it over with the aircon relay. I did purchase 2, supposedly suitable relays but returned them because they wouldn't fit in the fuse box despite having all the correct connectors. The pump received this morning came with a new filter screen/sock. Luckily, I found 2 x 20 litre containers into which I can drain the very expensive fuel into.T1 Terry wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 11:33 am Does the fuel tank have to come out to replace the pump George? I have thought of cutting a hole in the floor to get at the pump.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Keith,
If I'd bought a Sheep when I bought the Terios I would've had to replace it (the Sheep) several times by now.
