What a day Cop this. Had an upset AJ turn up 1/ a friend of hers and now ours from Mannum went to M Bridge for some take away fish stuff and one was crook and during the night the guy was sick out of both outies then he said he felt strange so off to Mannum hosp then off to M Bridge hosp then off to Adelaide hosp ??? suspected stroke but as AJ said it must be something other than due to his symptoms of NO one sided issues but all over (head) Secondly she has a good coin collection or did have. She asked her long time friend if she would take the coins and get them valued. She got a text saying the person her husb took them to said their condition was bad and so he sold $20, WT? There was no mention of selling them and what makes it worse the friends husb said he knew about coins. Strange that AJ has an old evaluation maybe 10yrs ago and one particular coin was then valued at $15k ?? me smells a rat of her friends husband. My G also has had a long history with coins and stamps and the term the husb used is not what real genuine dealers use ie "They (coins) are in crappy condition" They usually say "There is nothing hereof great value" Poor old AJ is shattered so much so she has blocked her friend.I would tell the husband either he gets the coins back or she will be inviting his girlfriend for drinks then the cops etc. . Apart from that we have been out in the garden and planting my best rose "double delight" have chucked moo poo and water holding granules and to top it off a good sprinkling of seasol. I am watching the bike time trials and the Jayco boys are doing ok Waiting for my boy Would Van A start but he is 2nd last to go. Hey Deborah got a nice comment on the other pr today. :D Going to bed to watch the boys where it is warmer than the chair. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Shirley x :D

One of AJ's clients is some big wig in SAPOL she rang and asked his opinion, "What has happened would be called Theft" She gave me permission to ring her (and mine) friend to get her side of the saga. I will do that tomorrow. There has to be something very amiss because I know her friend and she would never do anything like this. Did some more gardening this arvo. Dug up 2 great clumps of mothers day flowers (can't spell them ) and re potted some and replanted some. Need to get a few bags of garden soil as where I want to put the mini canna lilies the dirt is just like powder. BOB's are back on the tv kept doing the pix-elating and looking like a water color painting plus the TV turned it self off ???? It is very steep and a lot are dropping off out the back Where is homeless? he likes the bikes as he once was one. Albania is a pretty looking country but so hilly. This is how I am feeling  No comments from the T1 peanut gallery either. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert n Bob x :D

Never a dull moment in your life hey Dot? Keep that bastards honest is my motto, so go the call the John ops and get AJ her money. Some people just can't be trusted and sometimes it's very hard to decide who to give that trust to. Glad you're enjoying the latest sparkles. xxxx

Today was just a repeat of all the last week. Some almost sunshine followed by showers and heavy rains. I reckon Ncle George is wondering why he left England. It's even worse here than Melbum is reported to be. We seem to be having several seasons in a day. At the moment it's just cold and misty rain.

Had the usual phone calls from the kids. I didn't want a fuss or for them to be on the road in this weather. We will all be together at Matthews house for grandson's 21st in a couple of weeks. That's soon enough for mother's day celebrations. Apart from that, nothing much to tell about today, just another quiet inside day.

night all xxx

Dot, you're getting good reports from the docs, but they still haven't cured you....stay sane mate xxxx

Another wet, sunny, cold day. Started off with eye appointment to get prescribed glasses and have the choice of new pairs made up. I do hate that whole process. I have refused their hearing tests after learning from an ear specialist how their diagnosis are based on selling you hearing aides and not making sure that you have the best thing for your personal needs. Eyes tested and glasses are now on order. It was interesting to see that the big style specs that I bought a few years ago are still on their main shelves including the blue and purpley pair that I had are still on the shelves. What a trendsetter I was. After the cataract surgery, those old glasses were way too strong, so I found a very small pair of metal frames that were so much lighter and twenty years old lenses. They are almost perfect for today's eyes. I used the idea of finding the lightest glasses that they had that suited my face. So take note, the trend setter is now buying much less obvious glasses, which is what I suggest for your next pair, if you wish to stay ahead of fashion!

The afternoon was spent with a very long progress meeting. We had some medical and science people come to discuss the health of people living in the wake of the coal mine and power station. They told us a lot of publicly available stats that show how much our area suffers from the air quality. They refuse to blame the coal mine or power station outright and told us to do some fact finding for ourselves. But their whole thing was that they are trying to find our why we have such a higher rates of cancer in our area (especially brain cancer) and that the governments have been hiding a lot of research data from us to save putting a decent amount of money into research and treatment options. We didn't know about Wyong hospital getting a huge upgrade in their cancer wards, with nobody telling the community why this is needed here. It has gotten so much that in Newcastle hospital (John Hunter), people with a cancer diagnosis are being told to wait for 8 weeks for treatment or to get to Wyong for treatment until they can be helped at Newcastle. There has been no local publicity about the new cancer units at all. That sounds really off to me. Conspiracy theory? I don't know, but I am more aware of things to ask now.

Take care,
night all xxx
Deborah

Hi Deb, I had a retest of my eyesight last Friday,18 months after the last. I took the frames from 3 years ago and told them to have the new lenses fitted to those. They weren't real happy that they didn't get to sell me a new frame but I was.

Deborah, I'm not really sure what causes some of these cancer clusters, but I suspect it comes back to chemicals and herbicides in every day use. If it was coal mines and power stations then things would be far more localised. Some people subscribe to the power lines causing Big C type illnesses.
One thing we can be sure of is that the general public will be last to know.
It is a bastard disease in all its various forms and I really hope that one day soon the medicos will find some sort of cure for it.
Cheers
