Another no productive day, some more drizzle just enough to wet the plants whistles. Rather cold as well.Got a text from Flo (Rosy's mum) to say she had landed on time and will be up in the morning to collect the beast as she has missed her. Used up the left over sausage roll mix after G got some more pastry so another 30 rolls are now in the freezer.

Time to defrost it as well that's where my hair dryer comes in use.. George (NC) how is your bird going? Watching the BOB's and the country side of Sth of Italy is lovely, has anyone been there? Deborah how is the gathering going? Jayco boys doing a good job, there was a huge crash last night due to the wet roads and nearly everyone made it back for today, it is raining over there again for today's race , Shirley how are the eyes? and bowls practice? Jd how is Mr Phoenix doing? give him a hug from me please. When Rosy has gone home we are going to nick off for a few days until the next appointment that is.

Goodnight every one x

No bowls Dot, rain, rain & more rain predicted for the next week, we have a gala day Monday weather isn’t looking good for it to go ahead, I was taking Oliver 12today to Wyong racecourse for the zone cross country, postponed last night.
Maybe I might get a chance to roll up in the morning if the greens are open.
I’m waiting on a call from the optometrist to collect new glasses only wear them for reading, sewing, etc., wasn’t able to read small print, told to wear sunglasses I have a pterygium on my eye & cataracts growing.
Goodnight

Too much sunflower seed, Major Mitchell cockies suffer a similar problem in captivity .... cut it from the birds diet for a while so the bird's system can rebalance, no idea if they recover or not ....... the ones I know of moved on to other households ......

Rainbow lorikeets don't eat sunflower seed. Fred began life without tail or flight feathers. I found him as a runner shortly after he had been kicked out of the nest.

I remember when you got him George. He's done well to survive this long. If you hadn't taken him in, he'd have been a goner a long while back.
Sulphur Crested cockatoos suffer the same issue with sunflower seeds.

Maybe I should forgo the sunflower seeds too.
I’ve lost all my crest feathers…

Have to wear a beanie to bed on cold nights.
