We have had some good steady rain over night and throughout the day :D Air con on at 5pm and off at 11pm, now with a rug over the old legs and my relaxed pussy asleep on my lap. Rosy has left the building and Brian is happy. Flo said she will never go back to UK maybe when her dad dies but he barely recognized her this time. She said the cost of living is way worse than here, the medical system is rat crap, even the op shops are very expensive. She was in London and was trying to get a pic of my fav horse Ormonde, he is the one that bites all tourists  She said most of the tourists were really arrogant and rude. Today I sorted out my towels and moved them into the cupboard nearer to our bedroom but put the quilts in those sucker bags and they went into the laundry cupboards. Once again another BIG donation for the op shop coming up. So much stuff we have, do not need to buy any linen ever again. Deborah Luke Plapp (Jayco) is doing well in front with 43ks to go but he may get caught, never know he may get a win for you. Time to put the electric blanket on. Take care and goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bobr x :D and also Good morning :D

I tire easily these days… probably the chemo.
Anyway, coupla weeks ago I took down a dead tree in the backyard.
It was about 8ft tall with the main trunk about 6in across (sorry metric people, I still do woodworking in Imperial).
It was that size when we moved in 11 years ago, and finally curled up its toes this past summer. Probably done in by temperatures of 35 at 2100hrs, after many days in the high 40s~low 50s.
So today I was feeling pretty reasonable — which is good for me — and decided it was time to chainsaw the multitude of trunks & branches into fireplace-sized pieces.
I got half way through the job and had to call it quits.
I never realised how energetic using a chainsaw is… 🥵
Regards & God bless,
Ray

The hedge across the front of the workshop block is so out of control from lack of trimming, I had to buy an electric chainsaw to cut the tree branches sticking out of the top ..... I get exhausted just thinking about it, so they are still waiting to be cut down

Ray I am allowed to use the chainsaw now, HWMNBO bought a battery one for me. All my tools are now battery and find them really easy to use. Have even caught G having a go with them . Today I got out a lot of linen that had been packed away and decided to use some in stead of using the same old ones then put the others into those space bags so they would fit in the cupboards better. Tomorrow I may have a go with the new steam cleaner we bought over a year ago as the mopping is a no go any more (too hard on the joints) Some more rain today. Deborah, hope your time away is doing you good with your mates, Last night one of the Jayco BOB's won the stage so that you should be happy with that, they are doing pretty good. Might get exciting soon, there is a long gravel section so may be some spills.
79ks to go and I am off for a hot shower then bed as getting colder. Take care if traveling. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Daryl and Annette x :D

Regarding Fred's loss of feathers, while we were in the UK Sean took him to a vet who diagnosed Fred with Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease. (PBFD)

Hi George, what did the vet have to say re treatment for Fred? hope he comes right keep him nice and warm. Got the second quote for the interior paint job, 1st one was $15k this one today was $6k the $6k sounds more like the mark but I shall be getting every detail of the job in detail before we say yes or no. Tomorrow is yet another test ordered by the gut man, another Barium swallow at $170 then the medicare rebate to come off.Nothing to eat 6hs pre test and no water 2 hrs pre test. Expecting old forum members tomorrow arvo, he likes the BOB's as well so he and I will be cheering the boys together  . We bought a steam cleaner some months ago and I gave it a go today and it isn't very good any suggestions? I also took everything out of the laundry cupboard and blow me down a bottle of bleach had somehow leaked from the bottom and it had created a hole in the chipboard for G to replace. Another truck near here caused a fatal accident, there isn't too much info out yet,. How are the glasses Shirley and Deborah the knee? Time for bed so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Chuck x :D

Dot, love the idea of you having battery tools. Boy they make life so much easier and the quieter operations is a dream. Hope you get out of there asap in that bus of yours. The knee is just ok Dot. I suspect the sudden freezing weather is not helping either. xxxx

We had the horror drive to get to Stockton, on Thursday, and expected most of the weekend to be wet, but Saturday was almost pleasant. We had a big dinner out with the club on Friday night. It felt good to be all back together again. Saturday was almost warm and sunny. We had some disc bowls time and some chatting around the camp kitchen, before it once again got to be so rainy that we all had to disappear back to our vans. The rain over night was horrendous, so we made a pact that if it was still wet, we would leave Sunday and not risk being in blanketting rain like we had last Thursday. So we came home Sunday, instead of our usual Monday. We made it home in light rain and emptied the van in record time as the black clouds were gathering. The van was parked back down the yard, again in record time and we stayed almost dry for the time. The grass has suffered badly from us driving over it, as it's just so water logged. We could see a few ruts from pulling the van out on Thursday, but yesterday we did a lot more damage. The yard is so much more wet now. I could pick out the tracks from the van as well as my rav 4, but the van had to get off the street. It's a busy enough back street for some idiot to roll around the corner and slam into the van, so it's not really a great place to leave the van out when the roads are so wet.

The rain was so heavy and thundering that I was not prepared to turn the computer on. We only heard a few thunder claps, but I suspect that is because the rain was so loud it would have drowned out the noise of thunder. Poor Shirley, the only bowls that she will be getting out for a while will have to be carpet bowls. More rain is predicted for the rest of the week.

night all xxx
Deborah
