Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Roads might be open Bernie but now the borders are shut.
Looking like I might have some long term boarders since they can't get to go anywhere. :o :x
Overcast & drizzle this morning. Postponed the walk till it brightens up a little bit.

Bernie, is there something in your Winny that is slowly draining the batteries? Maybe like a radio or???
We always leave a fan going in ours to stop it from getting that locked up smell, so ours is hooked up to shore power all the time. And we leave the fridge going too, cause the old 3 way takes forever to cool down.
Bruce, you probably don't realise it yet, but you could probably do with some company for a while. All the best mate.
Cheers

Was my thought too Dave, but its been on shore power so the battery charger is on....whether that makes a difference ???

The boarders here are opening on the 13th Bruce, as long as they are double Vaxed they should be ok.
Bernie.

If a battery is deadish and in parallel, it will kill the other battery.

I think it's near impossible to remove all loads in a MH. The only way is to disconnect the batteries via a switch or removing the cable.

'tanks" here---
Good morning all, I have just listened to LENA MARTELL singing "One day at a time"
You can google this and it is well worth a listen to bearing in mind that this lady is over 80 years old.
Such a strong and powerful message.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Bernie, having batts in parallel is the long term killer of batteries. It is almost impossible to keep equal internal resistance once they begin to age. If you go drop in, then get ONE big enough to suit.

Now the battery I put on charge is standing at 13.08 this morning thats been off charge since 7.30 yesterday.
I have just taken the other off so will report on it tomorrow. looking promising :?:
Just some work finishing the bark hut yesterday, then had the day off
All the roads are now open...so less traffic coming around our area.
Bernie.
Safe trip David.
Surface charge is meaningless Bernie. Put a 60w light bulb across the battery and time how long it lasts till the voltage drops below 12v, double that and it will tell you what the battery capacity is now.
I know a lot of "experts" claim the 12v and 50% rule of thumb is not true, be assured that each trip below 12v shortens the remaining life. If you can't get 6 hrs without the voltage dropping below 12v while under load, you have a paper weight or door stop, it is no longer a storage battery suitable for over night use.

(One day at a time sweet Scomo)
One day (ooh)
One day

I'm only human
And I'm just a voter (you are just invisible)
Help me believe what I believe
And all that I am
Show me the stairways (ooh)
I have to climb

Scomo for my sake teach me to take
One day at a time

One day at a time sweet Scomo
Is all I'm asking from you
Give me the strength
To do everyday what I have to do
Yesterday's gone sweet Scomo
Tomorrow may never be mine
Scomo, for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time

And do you remember?
When you walked amongst the invisibles?
Scomo you know if you're looking below
Its worse now than then
Cheating and stealing (ooh)
Violence and crime

Scomo for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time

One day at a time sweet Scomo
Is all I'm asking from you
Please give me the strength
To do everyday
That you've been asking me so long to do
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone Scomo
And tomorrow may never be mine
Scomo for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time

One day at a time sweet Scomo
Is all I'm asking from you
Please give me the strength
To do everyday things you've been
Longing to see me and wanting me to do Scomo
