Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Your pantry sounds like mine Dot. Must get back to cooking him some cakes again. There are many packs that need to be used probably way passed the use by date, but I can't read that fine print  xxxx

Just another cold (like 10 degree start tp 15 at lunch time) and windy day. Some sunshine and a lot of clouds but no real rain for a change. Wish Nigel would leave us out of the rain forecasts. He makes it sound like it's always raining here. Alright, it is always raining at the moment. A rare day when the sun shines all day.

I cooked up a chocky slice from a box of choc chip cookie mix. Took some of to our neighbour/tenant who has been off work for the last 2 weeks. Good to see she is finally looking a bit brighter. Might return to work next week , so we know the rent is ok. The slice was for therapy for her, not to check on the rent. She is a lovely lady and not as needy as the last tenant, so we really appreciate having her next door.

The slice was the only thing that caused any action around here today. His nibs has a huge sweet tooth, so he's happy too.

Dot, what were you doing when you lived at Merrigum? Picking fruit or milking cows or something. Not a lot there now. Most of the dairies and and are gone now.
Deborah, I know what you mean about having a lot of cake mixes in the pantry. Ours has plenty of tins of soup that probably don't need to be there either.
If you want to believe what BoM is saying, it's not going to be much of a weekend. Unless you're a snow bunny, which I'm not.

No point in me cooking a rich chocolate slice, no one trusts that is doesn't have additional herbs, like the one's at the bowling club in that Cracker Jack movie

Cupboards here have a lot of Heinz pea and ham soup mix ready use, to pour over meat pies to make a very tasty pie floater quick and easy meal. Lot of those dried out dark brown mini biscuit things, date and fig and can't remember the other variety, Aldi gear, Margaret has replaced cigarettes with those and a piece of cheese .....
My weakness is those fruit and nut type mixes, roasted peanuts and cowboy mix, all from Aldi, mixed in a big container, eat them by the handful sitting at the computer ... getting plenty of fibre and clearly a lot else .... I'm not actually fading away these days

David re Merrigum, mum and dad were in Merrigum as dad worked in the dairy Co in the boiler room. I worked in the only milk bar in the main st I met my Terry when he came into the milk bar and I got the flutters every time I heard his car coming  He worked on Uncle Erics dairy/ orchard farm, he didn't like the cow side of things so concentrated on the farm machinery. Terry and I started going out and we married in the Meth church (main st) in 1969. He also worked on Uncle Erics sisters dairy farm and I would hop on one of the horses fruit bags on the horse and pick the fruit (pears) when free. God we had fun, riding horses before the cars and swimming in the irrigation channels, Great memories and wish those days were still here. And that is my part Merrigum story. :) Extra shelves are in the pantry and are in use holding a few use by cake mix packets  More stuff sorted for the op shop and this time I am collecting old but good towels for the rescued wild horses that are being shot in the national park for when they are washed and vetted so save any you have for me please. bed time now so be safe on the roads you lot travelling and all the sickies get well soon.Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Prof1 and Margaret x :D

Dot, you have moved around a fair bit. When were you in kiwi land? You're making me go green with your new pantry shelves. I would love a proper pantry, but no room for that sort of luxury. xxxx

Another beautiful sunny /cold day. The man said rain, but every time that the sky filled with very black clouds, they got blown away. With the wind, it was horrible outside, but sitting behind glass in the sun was lovely. So not a lot done here today either.

We have has some more rain this evening but I did get some weed spraying done earlier. Talk about chocolate cake with suss additives, when we were in the PWP group (parents without parents) at every meeting everyone took a plate of food but one particular person never did but always stashed the left over cakes for her. I told all the other members for the next meeting DO NOT have any of the choc cake. End of the night the choc cake disappeared. Next meeting just talking and that woman said she and family had all had the trots but only lasted 3 days  the smiles from the other members and they vowed never to eat my chco cake laced with melted laxettes. Deborah I certainly have moved around a fair bit in my time since landing in Melb 1956, my sister once tallied up all of our moves at around 30 moves within Victoria My husb, son & 2 dogs 1 cat moved to NZ in 1975 and I returned to SA with 4 dobermans 1 cat and 2 suitcases. Off to town tomorrow to check with my neck man so I am going to have a nice hot shower and then hit the sack so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Jd x :D

Dot, sounds like you are in your forever home now mate. Getting all the bits tidied up and shelves added...what luxury. xxxx

Another cold n windy day here, with a bit of cheeky sunshine. I took a load of things down to my shed and stayed a couple of hours, felt good to be back. A splat plate was on the bench with a wobbly bum. It is back in the kiln getting re-flattened and a few extra "legs" have been added to even up the wonky edges. They have to be fused on at very high temps, so it's just a flattening and fusing tonight. Soon it will get made back into a plate shape with sort of sides to hold fruit in. I am not rushing back to do too much, until I am sure that we will have events that we can attend.

Stay warm you lot,
night all xxx

You still overworking it Dot? Stay warm and rested mate xxxx

John, is there much to see in Hay? I remember peacocks roaming the streets and terrorising us, but not much else. T''was quite a while ago, so hope it's had a good change.

The weather started out sunny enough to hang out the washing. The black clouds rolled in almost as soon as the last peg was put on. The house is back to being a Chinese laundry. Tomorrow, much of it will get half an hour in the dryer, but so much of my stuff is not good in the dryer. I suspect that we are both so over this horrible wet weather.

Had to drive his nibs to the physio and the rain was persistent. She fitted him with a moon boot, but it was a bit too big, so he has to return for another fitting as soon as she has the right size delivered. pita.

He turned the kiln off when the sun was shining, but the rain has stopped me from even wanting to return to my shed. No wonder my sanity is at risk!

stay warm and dry out there,
night all xxx

Deborah when you are working in your lady shed is it nice and warm? The weather was nice all day here with the black clouds hovering but they passed quickly and the sun shined again. :D See on the news going on about pepper spray in Aust, Bugger the pepper spray I have a big can of Wasp spray if needed it sprays around 30 ft. Nothing done today either. G back to the dentist tomorrow. Lots of blossoms out now and it looks beautiful on a sunny day. Watching the Stephen Colbert show and he really gives the ginger ninja a roasting.  Rang my NZ girlfriend tonight (3hrs and 20 minutes) Poor bugger is so battered and bruised with her bro and his corrupt lawyer, Seems no one can ask questions about your own case, the judges are not to be approached under any circumstances and that is not right. They can make mistakes and are not held accountable.Sue told me tonight she had paid her first lawyer over $620k. He is part of the problem because He took it upon himself to make a few decisions and did not get Sues permission. That effected her case badly. this has been going on for 8 years now.. Off to bed now take care everyone weather on or off the roads be careful and all sickies get well soon Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Deborah :D x
