Shirley, glad that the rain held off for you. Sounds like you had a really good day, with lots of gossip and catchups.

Thanks for the thoughts Terry and David. The roof is about 35 years old cement tile and it probably is waterlogged from the monsoonal rains that we had last year. The current problem is where the tiles stop and the galvanised verandah awning is attached. I am hoping that it's an obvious fix of newer flashing or something similar. Terry the noise of a full iron roof would be horrible (the verandah is more than enough) and really with 24 solar panels, it would be an impossible task to re-roof the house. We aren't made of money, so that is not something that we would consider lightly.

Today I had a Dot sleep in until 11 AM. That was unusual. As I was eating breakfast the phone asked were we able to have a surprise visit from our ex-tenant? I was suddenly dressed with hair being done when she called at the door. After a couple of hours and coffee break, we had caught up with a lot of her news. She is missing us being right next door when she needed advice or toilet paper, but all is well in her world, so we felt it was a good visit.

After lunch, I sat down to get the happy pants all hemmed. That was a very long slow job. Much of the fabrics had very different textures and they didn't want to be sewn in straight lines. But the job is now done and I can wear them now without tripping over the bottoms of them.
