Wow I didn't know there was that much of it about Dot,
Oh well there's plenty of treatment for it.

Hey, Dottie,
Just caught up with your news (and pix)... been off-air since before your first post on this (See "I'm back!!" post)... my, doesn't time fly!
[I did PM you a 'Happy Birthday', unaware of the surgery... Hope it was a good one, anyway.]
The tongue looked a mess B4, and your scars look awesome... as Steve(?) said, don't shake your head yet!
Looking forward (ugh, maybe not!) to the 'after' pix...
All the best. We're praying for a COMFORTABLE recovery for you.
Regards & our love.
Ray & SWMBO

NOTE TO ALL:
I notice my name was
taken in vain on p3 of this thread...

I reckon
"tonguie" is probably sufficiently close to correct for an invented word.
I must say I was in tears of laughter reading the posts. Keep up the cheek, people.
God knows, the world needs a laugh or two right now!
PS...
I don't think this thread would have survived on That Other Forum.

ha ha this thread wouldn't even allow my pussy to be shown on it but here Open slather:) I have just gone and raided the fridge for another strawberry milk drink. Got your birthday message Ray

Jon I haven't asked the #1 surgeon about any follow up radiation / chemo but from what I can gather there were good margins and also nothing has escaped. I suppose I will know more when I see him for the follow up. I doubt it though.. The swelling on my neck and face is starting to go down but it is dam sore. Wish I could get fang back in there, I look like a shrivelled prune

Had to take my thyroxin this morning and with no feed tube in and unable to crush these tabs it was a real theatre of the mouth along with forearm, numb lips and tongue doused in a sip of water to get this small pill down the gullet, no use opening thy gob because the tonguearm is the main occupant and the doors do not open wide enough to see if the pill had gone so for old times sake another couple of water wars I thought I had success only to notice a rather unusual taste somewhere in the cavern of doom, so maybe it just laid down and died. Now I have a belly fill of bruises from the warfarin jabs. Oh to be going home

See what tomorrow brings

Hey Dottie,
Re the
Saga of the (non)Disappearing Pill...
Been there, done that.
You have my sympathies, sweetie.
My suggestion to the nurses was to provide me with a shot of Glenfiddich.
No luck.

That's great Dot.
How does it escape? Lypmh or another way?
My melanoma didn't either; they took the lymph out to check that and then I had a PEP scan to double check.

Correct Bruce.
We drove over to Adelaide for the funeral of Bobk & Lyn's eldest son Tony, 51 old, passed away after 3 years of MND.
Sad occasion but they held it all together so well... even a few laughs.
Left there Saturday morning & dropped into the Memorial Hospital in North Adelaide in the off chance of seeing Dot.
All went surprisingly well... as you'll see when I manage to send the pics from my phone - to Bruce - so he can then load them up here.
These are the prequel to the pics Dot sent in showing her scars.. Dot never changes!!!

Lymph Jon, That's why they took all the glands on the left side. Seeing #2 surg soon for him to give the final approval for discharge. Just had my belly jab and the graft site on my thigh re dressed and looking good. Also see #1 surgeon for follow up next week so will know more then.
