Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning 9c, grey clouds again the sun trying to shine, Lake smooth very calm & not a boat to be seen.

Helen, enjoy the visit with your son, your 5 weeks at Boonah have gone quickly.

We had bacon, eggs & sausages last night Bernie, toast too, we'd had the boys here all day & it was a quick & easy meal.🥓🥓🥚🥚🍞

Good morning All. After crawling under the bus last week, degreasing the diff, and finding that the bolts securing the pinion assembly needed tightening by 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn and the rear cover bolts requiring similar I cancelled the mechanic's visit and advised that, as the diff was now clean, I would get the bus out of the driveway, take it for quite a long drive and then inspect it prior to taking it back to them.

Well, this morning I drove it 35km and there is some oil leaking from around the bolts but no sign of any from the seal so I shall be calling the mechanic 1st thing in the morning so that I can deliver the bus to have the oil drained, bolts removed, have thread sealant applied and refit prior to refilling with hypoid gear oil.

GEORGE,
Do you trust the mechanic to do the job, or will you stay at the workshop and observe that the work is all done to your satisfaction.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Good morning all. 18 deg here. Brian's friend has arrived and he couldn't care less. Keith re watching the mechanic work, No public was allowed into our workshop, if a customer stood watching my husb work he would stop and walk away. He would answer any questions and save any replaced parts for the client but never let them get in his way. Never had any complaints because who ever got him to work on their vehicles knew they were getting the best and he always checked on the other mechanics if he felt they needed any supervision. .

I had a sign in my workshop
X$ per hour if I did the job alone
X +50% if you helped or watched
X × 2 if you had started yourself.
This was for signwritting

My workshop sign said the hourly rate, double if you wanted to tell me how to do the job, triple if you wanted to help and if you had attempted the job yourself before you brought it to me, a bottle of Jack Daniels was required to start the negotiations on price
I did actually get a few bottles of JD, car owner looking rather sheepish as he handed the bottle over and told me what he'd done ;) Generally it was hourly rate, first to fix what they had done, then to fix what the actual problem was 8-)
The best was charging $100 for 10 mins work. The owner near exploded, said he could have done that himself .... I explain that he was paying me for what I know, that included knowing what he'd done had actually caused the problem :D

Good morning...it's Monday again :D
The only major thing yesterday was to find out the start battery in the "winny" was as flat as a threepany bit
I put the battery charger on for a cuppla hours...no good...jump start from the Ute...that worked :) took the "winny" for a drive to give it some alternator fix...still no good  .
So a new battery will be bought some time this week.
Went to the farewell gathering for neighbor's about half of the community in attendance.
Keep warm dry and safe.
