Morning one and all. Sunny clear blue skies with slight breeze so off to work I go outside. 12 deg.

We did our bit to honour the custards of our block, past, present & future with our own Smoking Ceremony.
We raked up all the fallen eucalyptus leaves and added a sauce… of ignition.
Boy! We had a REALLY BIG Smoking Ceremony.
Surprised no-one called the CFA…

We have a hybrid Ram truck in the workshop .... I didn't know such a thing existed. We have to some how get 200Ah of lithium battery and a Victron Multiplus II inverter in the ute bed that has one of those very long drawer conversions fitted. Because it is a twin cab, there is very little room in front of the wheel arch and not a lot behind it either, so the inverter will have to go on top of the wheel arc somehow. Took half the morning to remove one of the drawers and the wall section that has the runners for the drawer. It fit neat up beside the wheel arch .... a real sardine can install this one

We also have Vic's Luxumbarg back in, the new owner wasn't to replace some of the panels because they have "spider arc lines" across a few of the modules. It was producing 980w from the 1080w solar array a few weeks back a blew the fuse, so the panels are clearly working perfectly ...... It's his money to waste if he wants to waste it I guess

Had on of those yesterday, the poor little 500w XU1 grinder decided it wasn't going to drive the 150mm drop saw blade remnants any more and let a big cloud of smoke out I swapped the disc over onto the 125mm grinder and put a new 125mm flapper disc on the new 100mm XU1 grinder that was in the cupboard
They are so cheap there's no point in trying to salvage the dead one, but I'll remove the cord and the 90* gearbox head before sending it to the bin .....

I have a 3m power cord salvaged from a deceased tool. Gotta get a female plug for it.
And I reckon a 90* gearbox will come in handy somewhere… sometime…
Might be anything from a couple of months to 10~15 years… but Murphy’s Law says the day after you bin it, you’ll need it.

Old mate sez 11* he may have got it right this time
Had a chat with local farmer on my walk yesterday, he was down the paddock checking some heifers that are springing, first time mum's when it happens. The electricity mob have 4 large concrete poles to erect through one of his paddocks, but for the last few months its been too wet to get machinery in there.
There it also a proposed wind farm down at Didcott about ten ks from my place by road about 6 or 7 as the crow fly's. We maybe able to just see them if it goes ahead

Good morning everyone. We are back on the coast now. Spent most of the past 4 days grubbing out woody weed and wattle suckers at a mates place up on the granite belt.
Made myself crook at the bonfire, with all the smoke.
And it was cold up there. Looking forward to a bright sunny day today. Take care everybody, safe travels.

Had that problem with the chimenea new 45* chimney extension ytial fire...... had to wash the possible smoke effects down with a number of "steaks" and when they ran out, a few glasses of fireball that seemed to suffer over filling using the free pour method .... but the sausages cooked up great on the grill plate when the chimney was removed, kinda tiger striped but they went down fine with a good dose of sauce on a slice of buttered bread ...... it wasn't really until the following morning the smoke inhalation seem to show any effects ......

T1, I wish that I had the same excuse, and the same medical supplies to decrease my exposure to our massive smoking ceremony. I think the smoke from the un- named woody weed was toxic. I'm still coughing up stuff this morning.
