Morning one and all. Dot sounds like you had fun so much better buying when the men aren't about you don't have to explain why you want that item etc.  Not much on today BOSS still working on the shed I am trying to tell myself that I readly do need to go for a walk  Going to make some covers for the van seats have had the fabric for 12 months now so best I get to it. Our weather is a little overcast and quite cool hope the sun comes out.. Have a good one everybody.

Cheers Ros.

A belated good morning. Am sick of teh sight of ham. Just crypvacked nearly 5kilos of the stuff. Bruce will still be eating it going across the Gibson Desert in June. I really have to leave that forbidden type food alone as of now! Finished off the Caramel tart yesterday  All the good kilos we lost up the Cape have funnily reappeared. Got 9 more tubs from son yesterday & can now finish packing the house contents & then just use the van linen etc. Roll on 1st March. Alos bought trailer back to try to get rid of some"junk" out of the garden shed, a trip to the 2nd hand shop with a couple of old lounge chairs.
Mitchell suggested that, instead of storage shed, we buy a container. Yes sure son & where are we going to put that!!! Not a problem according to him as he will ask some of his mates who have acreage. He then said that he will go halves in the cost of buying one & that will allow him to also store his many tool boxes etc etc, which he does not need now that he has sold all his earthmoving machinery.

40 ft containers are expensive to move around so a 20ft one is the best bet, they drag them on and off a tilt tray to cart them. If you are going to store furnature etc, fit a wirly gig vent thing in the roof, keeps the heat extremes from building moisture up inside, packs of the absorption crystals are a good added insurance as well.

Just got quotes back re renting a 20ft. Only $3.20 a day which make the cost for 12 mths nearly $2000 cheaper than a storage shed! even to buy a container would be still much cheaper. We are going to get a removalist to work out how much area we will need before we go any further anyway.

A quick look on evil bay says a 20ft container is around $2200, if you contact Geoff 1313 (a member here as well) he might be able to point you to some where in the Brisbane area to get one, Geoff has a trucking business carting shipping containers if I remember correctly.
