Re: Good morning daily
Morning all, Robert & Molly came, and went. as Molly wasn't feeling the best. nicer day today with a drizzle of rain. Bruce are you still able to get to and fro to your boat?. I don't mind the lizards looking for higher ground, but I would object to those wriggly sticks..
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.

Re: Good morning daily
All persons wishing to access their houseboats can only use a boat, tinny or swim.
We had to protect the road although we still expect it to be destroyed.

Re: Good morning daily
Bruce how do all the houseboats fare when the river rises? Do they just stay at the same moorings or canstantly move as the river widens and rises?
I've no idea how it works
thanks Peter

Good Morning/Night All, -2* here in Port William, Scotland. We had a nice cool walk around the place today, 2 Tshirts, a jumper and gloves required, luckily no wind.

Re: Good morning daily
This is the first time we've had a 'water event' as high as it is now & we're still expecting anything up to 2m higher to come!Peter and Sandra wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 7:20 pm Bruce how do all the houseboats fare when the river rises? This morning's view is a bit different! No road in sight from my houseboat at all.
One consolation is that we are still hooked up to 'town water' & still good pressure.
Peter as we rise, and hopefully later, fall we just have to keep adjusting our ropes to stay within our berths so we can stay connected to the water.
If the water hose gets ripped out there will be a lot of water wasted without knowing as the connection is under water.
I hope to do an inspection from my speedboat with Andrew today to do a check up on ropes, hoses & health.
I suspect a few will have changed their minds about staying by now ...............

I have an old friend from the Savage River Iron Ore Mine construction days in the 1960's, living near the Castle in Edenborough Scotland.
His name is Ruary Muirhead, so if you run into him, please say hello from me and wish him a merry Christmas. Enjoy your holiday mate.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
