Good morning all. I am "buggered" as the saying goes. Family away since Friday & here in the dry we have mowed, tried to keep a part of the house yard green, roundup all the edges, etc etc as you do when children asK! $ huge sprinklers going all day until water runs our late afternoon then refills from bore overnight. No got a huge slow cook going full with home grown lamb for dinner this evening . Oh this is as well as watering the farmer friends up the road- her garden. Now on bed on hot water bottle & a good book.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning all, yesterday was nice and warm, with some showers in the very early morning then sunny for the day and 22deg, almost got the A/c installed in the house. Today it has been raining since about 4am and looks like setting in for the day, tanks are full, dams almost full and no outside work. Might have to watch the cricket, yuck.

Re: Good morning daily
Morning all. Hot and humid yesterday and last night, then a storm that would have blown a dog off a chain, now sunny and humid again, just like being back at Lake Illawarra
The tanks are over flowing again, the one bit of lawn that has survived has green shoots, puddles of water every where so the mozzies will be breeding up a new batch ready for New Yrs
The river isn't quite sure just what's going on, last night it was the highest we had seen out the front of the house, this morning it had dropped far enough for the first wooden rail (what is left of our jetty) was clearly visible above the water line.... within a few hrs the rail was back under water and the post was going close to vanishing as well, that is a very fast level change, wonder where the water level at the marina is and if they will have to enact the first stage high water warnings

Re: Good morning daily
haha... a few dinghies got dunked through the night. Pump out truck is flatout emptying them out to refloat them.
Visitors first night on the houseboat was a bit of an experience for her!
Water level going up & down all the time. Basically about .3 of a metre to stage 1. Friday will be the telltale day I reckon.
