Sounds awesome, Peter. On our bucket list. Where did you depart from? I thought you were already back on the ferry to Melbourne.
Cheers

I flew with Sharp air [metroliner 20 seats] from Wynyard Tas. but Rex flies from Tulamarine [big plane], and KI air [Piper Cherrokee] flies from Moorabin Vic.

Hi Peter

Glad you had a good time on the island.
We left Tassie Sunday and the bus is now parked at Trafalgar, put James on plane to Sydney Tuesday, we left Melbourne Wednesday and are now in Vietnam.
When we come back we are heading for Mount Barnett Roadhouse on the Gibb River Road to caretake a bush camp at Manning Gorge. This is the type of work we have been intending to do.
Please disregard all previous messages regarding our travels to Lake Illawarra and Cleaverville Beach.
Such as our life plans always change, but one day we will catchup or if you are going past call in.

Regards Geoff

It was with great sorrow, that I drove the 5'er onto the "Spirit of Tasmania 1" last night.
I now know that my three months in Tassie are over. What can I say about this beautiful Island and it's friendly inhabitants, words cannot describe the help and the pleasures they have given me. Will I be back, my bloody oath.

I am now camped at the village of "Bogon" Vic., high in the alpine area, drove up the Bogan High Plains Road.

Yer peter I know where your coming from.
We have been to Tassie 4 times, any one that don't go there don't know how much they are missing.

Peter,
Is that near the town of Bogong in the Bogong High Plains? :D

I know there's a place in Qld (I think) called Bogan's Gate...

Agree, though. Tas is a wonderful place with friendly people.
Now watch the CPs & Govt stuff it up with their 'Competitive Neutrality' arguments!
They want footy grounds with no 240v and one tap to charge the same $$$ as their local CP (even when the nearest CP is 20km away in the next town!) :!: :?:
Regards & God bless,
Ray
