Had a chat with Dot tonight over the phone .... well I chatted & Dot grunted!!
Asked if she has eaten a steak lately & heard a definite "F**k Off" so the tougue got around a few consonants ok but a bit light on the vowels!!
Tomorrows visit back to Adelaide for checkup will tell how happy they are with it all
Good luck Dot!

Ha ha yes I told you I would be practicing the "f bomb" and it apparently was successful  Tonight I had chicken soup for tea and the sustagen protein drink. Might get the thigh dressing off tomorrow, the stitches out of the arm graft and maybe the one out of the neck. The tongue stitches are dissolving ones. See the #1 surgeon next month so maybe I will have to wait till I see him before I know if any other test/ scan is needed? Reckon the most expensive steak will be in order cooked by a real chef in a month or so. Still dreaming...

Saw the #2 specialist today, he took all the dressings down and he was pleased, the only one not doing what it is supposed to do as quickly as it should is the neck hole, the inner pipe has healed but the skin is taking it's time. He said if it hasn't closed by itself when I see him again in 2 weeks he might stitch it up BUT seeing as I hate any local needles I got some sterri strips and shall give them a go, otherwise I will ask for the glue.. The armed tongue also made him happy esp when one of the stitches dropped out as I opened my mouth  I told him I was still very tired but he said that for every day I was in ICU it takes one week to recover so that makes it another 3 weeks before the zing kicks in again. Another thing he said was at the meeting of the surgical minds last week they see no need for radiation or chemo but in a few mths maybe a P.E.T. scan may be in order.. After all that good news we headed home to where I have had a nice nana nap. Woop woop woop. :D :D :D

I've had the PET scan. It's a full search for any fast growing object that loves "sugar" as it's food.

Sounds like a great outcome, you still need to take it easy & let George take care of you, maybe those Nana naps are in order for a few more weeks.

That's all pretty good news Do. Keep practising the F bomb, one of us will keep checking to see how it's going.
Take it easy and get well at your own pace. :D
