Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Iabsolutely stupid, but that is the reason the sign says before the decent starts, all heavy vehicles must be in low gear .....

T1 Terry
To make matters worse, most signs state, Trucks and Buses, not heavy vehicles and in my case my vehicle is a registered Motorhome, by definition not a truck or a bus.

George
In South Australia, if it requires a licence class higher than a car licence, it is classed as a truck or bus. Those with a Dodge Ram or Silverardo or Ford F250 or higher that require a light truck licence towing a van or 5'er down the big hill cop the huge truck speeding penalty and points loss if the don't keep below the 60km/h limit and stay in the left lanes. B Doubles and triples and anything towing a trailer on a dolly are restricted to 40km/h

So why do all the signs only say 60kph?60 km/h=
===================================================
When descending the South Eastern Freeway, truck and bus drivers must: engage low gear at Crafers and remain in this gear to the bottom of the South Eastern Freeway reduce speed to a maximum 60 km/h, unless otherwise signed at a lower speed or your load requires a slower speed, from Crafers to the bottom of the South Eastern Freeway

I'm young and at home.

Phoenix update. Still crook. Passing blood. Seems more lively so maybe on the improve. Drinking water and taking honey for some energy. Hasn't eaten in 2-3 days. If still crook on Monday - xrays.

Good morning from down town Degilbo.
Bloody lawn needs a mow
Sorry that phoenix is off colour Jon hopefully nothing serious.
Carol finally has seen the new (to us) motorhome..as apposed to only photos' she likes it :D
Lots of crud over Carols car I will have to remove today...it might need a apron or somthing to protect the front.
It was a easy drive Dave, roads improved once I crossed the boarder at Texas. That Newall Hwy is a national disgrace...I got off the Newall at Coonabarabran and went through Gunnedah.
Only one close encounter with wild life...Wallaby...I could not drive over one dead or alive as Carol's car is so low...it would do lots of damage that I would have to explain
Now to really sort the "bus" out.
Keep safe everyone.

Good morning everyone. Beautiful sunny morning in Young today. We are going to hit the road soon. We have avoided the Newell hwy this trip. The road less travelled, by us, has been a lovely change from the usual pothole strewn unroadworthy Newell.
Jon, we hope that Phoenix is on the improve.
Have a top day everybody. Safe travels.
Cheers

There are tell tale signs it rained here in Mannum last night, but it can't have been much. Still heavy cloud but that doesn't mean it will rain where Mannum is involved, we generally just see someone else's rain passing through .......
Yet another day on the "Bus from Hell" but getting closer to a win, the inverter and 240vac power is functioning as well as the 12v for the lights etc, still have to figure out the mystery cable that leads off into the dash area, don't know if it's supposed to be 12v or 24v, so I'll start off with 12v and see what happens ..... better than starting with 24v and identifying the 12v items by the smoke trails
That just leaves all the communication cables for the Victron GX control and the solar to fit and wire up ..... we might actually get it out of here by the 26th so we can start to prepare for the Taggerty trip and extended visits after that :D

Good morning.
Sunday again...bacon and eggs day for me... :D
I think number one son is coming out today...he asked if there was enough beer
I cleaned Carols car makes her happy again...she seems to be almost over the nerve thingy.
We have been like kids in a lollie shop :D lots of new stuff to find in the "new" bus, I have found stuff the previous owner didn't tell me about...lots of nooks and crannies. :?
The lawn can wait.
Enjoy your road less traveled Dave.
Keep safe everyone.
Bernie.
