Finally back to the house going off grid project. A lot of time lost trying to sort silly problems on the "Bus from Hell" job, most the result of poor wiring and connections and every circuit wiring extension done with 2.5mm sq red/black twin core, virtually impossible to trace circuits, then I discovered they went to 7 core trailer harness, 4 of them it seems, so just because you can trace it to a yellow wire doesn't mean the yellow wire you find in the electrical cupboard is the same yellow wire

then I discovered they used the same wiring methos for the 10 speaker stereo system that had switched on the dash to isolate each set ... you guessed it, all using the same red/black twin core wiring extensions. All went through 8 pin spade connector plugs, but not each plug went to a separate 7 core trailer harness, that would be too easy, a mixture of bus chassis 24v leads, audio cabling to and from the amplifier and crossover boxes for each speaker set, 12v inside lights and reversing lights and rear flood lights and dash gauges and.... some stuff I never did trace where it went

all that mixed with the original wiring harness, most of it unplugged or just wires cut off, but some of it went from the new wiring mess to the original harness ......
Margaret said after the 3rd day of trying to sort it, "I'm so glad we aren't doing these jobs anymore" ..... but we are still getting an average of 3 calls per day either from customers who have bought someone else's caravan or motorhome that we had fitted a system to and they didn't both reading the instruction book and now they had problems .... or people wanting us to fit fit systems or guide them step by step through the job ... yeah, right, been there, done that and have no wish to inflict that sort of punishment on myself
I might set up a you tube channel or something and make my fortune that way
