Yep Shirley, 300 NE of Alice. In town tonight though, using up all the motel's wi fi downloading my games
You've actually inspired us to do the Winton/Boulia thing when we get some leave. Easy for us to just head down the Plenty Hwy to do it in the Vitara because won't want to do that with a bus. Come back via Mt Isa and Urandangie. Anyone ever been there?

Our Winton to Boulia return trip was our first real outback experience, nothing out there except The Middleton pub, we just enjoyed the diverse landscape, the jump ups & the channel country, we took two days each way enjoying & photographing the scenery the road was ok, travelled in our Coaster. We did intend coming home via Birdsville but owing to the heavy rain that caused the Camel races to be cancelled for the first time that road was closed to all traffic. We thought we might do the trip again to Boulia for the camel races & carry on to the Plenty Hwy., we haven't been to the NT yet.
The Coaster has sat at home for the last 12 mths., we have to start using it again & soon

Some of our friends had the Dangi pub for several years. Made a motza from the Fed Gov looking after the local inhabitants.
All of their money HAD to be spent in the pub/shop 'cause there was no where else...............
