Can now leave the dressings off the arm and leg during the day, trying steri strips on the neck hole as the skin isn't knitting as we would of liked rather than having to have it stitched up when I see the specialist in a week . Went to see my nice chiro today and she gave me some welcome relief from my constant headache :) To celebrate G man made proper custard for me tonight rather than the stuff in the supermarket. It went down a treat. The stitches in the tongue are beginning to be a bit of a nuisance as they are getting ready to depart, hopefully in the next couple of days. :D Got an account for the lab work that was done in the hosp :o :o the gap was $400.00 so I told G to ask if there was a discount for pensioners?? Oh the joy the answer was YES, there will be no gap to pay :D If you don't ask you don't get. Tomorrow I start on the liquid zinc and also powdered Vit C. to keep the wound healing going along nicely. Getting happier Jan :D

Great news Dot.

Some of the engine oils have extra zinc in them too. Maybe a cup of Castrol might help?

Back again, yesterday evening I was extra tired and slept heaps . Thought I had hairs growing on my arm tongue but turns out they are extra fine stitches working their way out , scared the crapper out of me  Managing to eat a bit better. Speech is improving but a lot of concentration is needed. Watched some telly then we had visitors arrive for a few days, Nice to see old friends and to have a good laugh. Just about time to hit the sheets again.

Oh dear, baked beans and a runny egg for tea tonight   Let the games begin.. Saw the GP today, she is happy with the reports. Went to show the dentist my mouth and he was amazed at it all, got his little mirror out and just had to have a look  Rather warm today and some one heard it was going to top the 40 mark somewhere in SA. Better not be here. Has any of you smokers given or thought about giving those fags aka smokes up after seeing this saga? I really hope so. Speech therapy is on the cards now, have to train the arm how to move now.
