Thanks Shirley. Here's three questions in one to ponder on that have an Aussie connection (sort of) .

There were other, probably even more famous, Gypsy Moths. What were they, how many were there and who owned them?

I think Sir Francis Chichester flew one, maybe to Australia, and after he crashed it somewhere he took up sailing as a career. Don't know the other ones.

You are on the right track, Sir Francis certainly flew a Gypsy Moth to Australia but what were the other Gypsy Moths?

A clue there were 5 in total.

Mike are you referring to other moths eg., tiger moth, hornet moth?

Time for that clue.

The Gypsy Moths I am after were not aircraft or insects, only one of them came to Australia and still exists but not in Australia.
