Well done Terry.

What is an insane price for a "12v 5000va inverter"?

Thank Dave, grabbed it while the boss said "yeah, ok, why not" after half a bottle of wine .... at least it was on her (our) card and not just on mine .... it has had a rather hard time lately

Plus the postage costs, that is why I grabbed the one Dave linked to, free postage ...... but an extra $32 (1.3% surcharge) appears on the invoice, probably to cover shipping costs, but the end price is still the same .... a bter deal and I should get it in time to install before Xmas... which year is still being determined

That 1.3% will be credit card surcharge. The invisible charge that we never used to pay.
The banking industry are a fustercluck of leeches that invent little bank that you don't notice on the $100 tap. But you do on a $1500 one. Rant over.

Springers have a lot of Friday arvo, and or, end of month specials too.
Best bit I reckon is they are an Australian based company with people that know the product, when you talk to them.

And they honour their internet price errors.

I got a 3kw Victron inverter about $500 below everyone else. I'm sure it was a pricing error, which was very quickly corrected.

Do all my big purchases online via bank transfer, saves heaps and use cash wherever I can. Free postage, not very likely that cost is built into the price.

Checked out a nice bus yesterday, a 1988 Bova futura really nice bus, only problem was it has a DAF motor and drove a B double with a DAF prime mover. They have a air clutch and brakes, have a tendency to drop their air at times leaving you with nothing and flying down the road, Happened to me twice carrying poppies before they did something about it, the next driver to use it after me, ran out of air on the midlands highway and wipe out a couple of trees. Luckily the trees were small and damaged the truck, the driver was a bit beaten round.

Have my Bedford for sale, great old thing, but to big for me now the band has stopped, just doing the odd gig as a duo and playing with others on Aus when needed.
