Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

No problems down here, but as there's been a big optus outage who can tell whether it's associated with that somehow. All my systems are linux and we never seem to have problems, being open source like PHP means updates happen as they are released, unlike with proprietary systems, you have to wait until they issue updates.

PHP is a general-purpose scripting language, many servers and OS don't use the most up to date releases so problems can arise, it's very useful and it may also be the PHP interpreter update lacking, which is necessary for smooth operation and interpretation of code. Considering the problem you are having seems related to some windows boxes at the moment, doesn't look like it's the server for this site, but within some windows systems. Glad I use a modern state of art OS that never fails, is secure up to date and free.

Today with the optus outage, having dual sims just switched my internet to telstra, which is what is used for band work and dealing with business. That way my optus number is private and only certain people have it, so never have problems any number that I don't know just gets deleted on the optus sim. Think this shows the insanity of government, banks and big business, trying to push everyone away from cash. Doing that will bring the country to it's knees one day soon, luckily always have a few hundred dollars in cash on hand, but the idiot businesses that don't take cash, are in for a big shock one day. Only takes one solar storm from the sun to knock out entire countries electrical systems, which has happened in the past.

Raining here again today, had 4.7 mm over night and expecting a couple of days of nice rain. Doing a lunch time gig tomorrow at a nursing home, first for a couple of months. They are great gigs, as the residents only get qualified music therapists who are as useful as trying to drink out of a dead rock, dry, boring and rough sounding:lol: Down here they've done all in their power to have us banned because they claim it takes away their work, but the residents love the concerts we do for them and this mob put forward a petition demanding we be hired again. It also saves the nursing home a lot, a music therapist gets hundreds for a couple of hours work, we charge $80 for 90 minutes of solid music and only because they demand they pay us to cover fuel costs at least. Don't have the heart to tell them don't have any meaningful fuel costs, when running my vehicles on good ole veggie oil. With the cost of fuel wouldn't be able to tour if we had to pay for fuel and venues happily save up their oil for us,which means we get home with reasonably full tanks.

They even wheel out bedridden patients in their beds and line them up at the back of the lounge room and they bop along, even throw a few kisses to the clearly very sick older ladies and then talk to them when we finish, the smile on their faces is a joy to behold. We do requests and luckily have a wide enough repertoire to be able to play just about whatever song they asked for, if not then we say we'll play it next time.

We class it as a community service and I always get pulled up for referring to them as old people, forgetting I'm probably older than most there :( It's a very satisfying aspect of playing music and when on the road we always make sure we contact retirement and nursing homes to offer them a good lunch.

Morning folks.
Still no rain
Started the log splitter yesterday...done another 4 wheel barrow's full, almost down to the ones that are to big to lift...I will then stand the log splitter vertical to do them.
Nothing else of importance happen.
I'm supposed to receive the new engine coils today for Carol's car.
Well done NP.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone, the update message got me again, after I spent 5 minutes typing up my post.
Anyway, it's another bright sunny rainless morning here. Going fishing with the youngest Gkid from Vic. We'll waste some bait and have some fun.
Watch out for them big rounds Bernie, they get heavier as we get older.
Safe travels everybody, have a top day.
Cheers

Good morning All. Damp under foot but partly cloudy with 27* forecast.

Looked outside and found 3 Crimson and 2 Eastern Rosellas, 4 Rainbow Lorikeets and 4 Magpies all wanting a feed along with Fred, our runner squawking for water.

Good morning everyone. Its an overcast dull looking day here on the GC today. A truck with an earthmoving machine on board turned up in the street early on. The local dogs didn't think much of it. It started work at 7.00 sharp, so fait enough.
I had a great day with the gkid yesty, going fishing and pumping yabbies. The little bloke loved it.
How's the back this morning Bernie? How long will that wood last you?
Safe travels everybody, have a great day.
Cheers

Good morning everyone, we have had some more drizzle overnight. Had a thunderstorm just on dark last night. Got some rain as well, not sure how much yet.
Today's plan is to head up to Toowoomba for the speedway tonight, so long as the weather stays OK.
Will go to the local Remembrance Day service first.
Lest we forget.
Cheers

Good morning everyone. We parked up overnight at the Tbar speedway. Was a great night of top class racing. We'll pack up in an hour or so and wander home later today.
Bandit is fascinated with the rabbits that are about in the industrial wastelands here.
Enjoy your bacon and eggs Bernie. Safe travels everybody.
Cheers
