Bought a new mulcher/chipper on ummmm..... I think it was Monday. Couldn't decide which to get, so the old saying "go big or go home" won the day and we bought a 15 hp job. Attempted to assemble it out of the box that afternoon, had the neighbour helping and all, and we got it assembled to the wheel away stage.
Finished the assembly Tuesday? and started feeding the half a wattle tree I had to cut down to make room for the new to us motorhome. Talk about a hungry bugga, once it got hold of the branch it dragged it through it a fast walking pace, and seeing as how that hasn't happen with me for quite some time, it near dragged me in with it.
Eat the tree, the dead dried branches from the palm trees, the high stacked 6 x 8 trailer load of hedge and garden cuttings ... and anything else we could see to feed it, all into an over size bag that's about the size of half a wool bale, naturally, couldn't move it afterwards, so spent bits of Wed loading the wheel barrow and taking it to the river wash away section and emptying it in an attempt both lighten the bag and reclaim some of the washaway .... the reeds grow up through it and anchor it down .... Two barrow loads lightened it enough to drag it onto the pallet lifter trolley so it could be moved ... it was so hot I only lasted a barrow load at a time, then late in the afternoon till Margaret came home to help load the bag onto the pallet lifter
Backed the motorhome into position ... more trees to trim and a lot of rock to remove ..... maybe next week or the week after ... got a vehicle change battery reinstall to do that's parked up on the workshop slab .... have to wait for some replacement cells from Nth Qld, sometimes it doesn't pay to try and do the job yourself, even if you watched me build the original set up
