Re: Good morning daily
mm, rained very lightly all night and will all day today too they reckon.
By Wednesday we're going to be back over 40 for several days though so I'm predicting some humid Qld weather!!

Had about 25mm of rain out of this lot so far and still a bit to come through . There are some grape varieties showing berry splitting. Will depend on the weather over the next few days as to how bad it will get. The caltrop will love it though.
Cheers John

Re: Good morning daily
We have quite crop of it out the back of the workshop at the moment. Tried burning the centre of each plant with the hot air weed killer device, burnt them to a crisp but the runners have simply pored all they had into the burr things, mongrel stuff it is. Seems the only fix is to dig it up and put it in the bin, not easy when it's growing up through the gravel.Riverlander wrote:Had about 25mm of rain out of this lot so far and still a bit to come through . The caltrop down here has 7 sections, we dug it up as soon as it popped up took seven years to really get rid of it you can spray it with round up BEFORE it gets those little yellow flowers on it

I am always amazed how quick it grows. Just a couple of small leaves one day and a big plant a few days later full of prickles. Just a sniff of roundup gets them but another one germinates behind you. Nearly stopped raining now. 32 mm
Cheers John ( another full moon coming. must be time for another camp oven. )
