Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning.
Biggest thing I done was go to the chemist yesterday :D
I did renew the shower screen thingy in the motorhome, it fell down while camped at Elliot Heads...Carol bought a new one from Spotlight. Was an easy job...
I also found some ants in the motrhome...so I gave them some stuff that kills, plus they take it back to nest and kills them as well ...it's good shit...
Almost time to go for my walk
I always keep well hydrated Dave
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone. It is a glorious morning here in the Strathbogie Ranges. Not a cloud in the sky. I'll fluff around here for a while then head over to the sons place, about 1 1/2 hours away. Then I get to spoil my youngest grandson for the afternoon.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers

Good morning All. Due to the heat I didn't do much yesterday and Tuesday was a real disaster.

I went to the skin cancer clinic where they found only one small thing on my hand and treated it. The rest of my body was clear.
After that I went to Coles for a few things and put them in the car before going back into the centre to get something from Woolies following which I headed back to the car but couln't find my keys. I finally noticed the end of a key protruding from beneath an item on the passenger seat.

They were locked in the car and I didn't have my phone with me so I had to set off on the walk home, a bit over 1km in temp of approx 33* so was a lather of sweat by the time I arrived home. Luckily, we have a spare house key in a hidden location so I was able to get into the house in order to phone Julie at work to ask her to come home as she has a key to my car on her key ring.
Half an hour later she was able to drive me back to the shopping centre to get my car but, before heading home I had another key cut which can be left at home in future.
Thankfully, Julie was able to work from home for the rest of the day.

George I have to ask how you locked the car without keys?
In the past I always hid a spare under the car but I haven't got around to it as yet on this one. Thankyou for the reminder!

"tanks" here---
I always have a spare key for the ignition and door under the wheel arch attached to the chassis by a heavy-duty zippy clip.
I've never used it. I hope that I never have to. I would have difficulty getting down that low to the ground, and even more difficulty standing up again without assistance
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Bruce, it's just a matter of pressing the door lock button in the Daihatsu Terios.
One of Julie's work compatriots in WA had the key which was under the car stolen along with the car and all it contained yesterday.
As said, my spare key was on Julie's key ring.

I have hidden spare keys on all my vehicles and machinery, know how easy it can be to forget and lock your keys inside, or lose them and have misplaced keys to machinery and the bus a couple of times before getting extra keys cut. Also have spare keys for things in the workshop and house, no matter how awake you are, you can still lose them. Not the far in the past opened my car to put stuff in the back and put the keys on the back seat, shut the door and went back to get more, forgot if you don't open the drivers door when unlocking, it locks after 30 seconds. :(

My neighbour is the ultimate key loser, she is always asking me if I've seen her keys as she always just puts them down anywhere and then forgets, Done that with her teeth as well, which was hilarious, so told her to put a chain on her teeth so she always knows where they are, didn't go down very well, but she finally found them in her bed.

The Prius won't let you lock the key fob inside, but after few too many cans of JD & Coke, I managed to do it while at the mate's place in Melbourne  Had to climb over the driver's seat from the rear passenger door, press the door lock button, then hold the door handle up while shutting the door .... very proud of myself I was, till the next day, when I realised why it wouldn't lock using the auto lock button in the front door handles, the keys along with the fob were on the floor ....
Wasted a day getting bits from Bunnings and trying to get it unlocked, ended up paying a small fortune for a mobile locksmith to do exactly what I was doing, but he knew what he was doing and had it open in secs ....

You can’t lock your keys in my Isuzu MUX, the door won’t lock with the key inside the vehicle.

I did lock our keys inside the coaster once, Bruce easily took the little window out near the passenger foot well, unlocked the bigger window & I climbed inside, made us realise how easily it would be for someone else to break into it.

T1Terry, we had our solar people out today and they tell us that the regs for installing house batteries have all been tightened up a lot. SInce our battery had the potential to explode, I can understand now why lithium batteries have to placed outside the house. That will be difficult in a motor home? Our lithium battery was under our bedroom, in the cellar, which started us on a whole lot of concerns. Yet another weird thing that's new with solar.
