It won't be used as a chopping board Norman, already have a good one of those, this will just cover the sink & give a bit more usable bench space.

The lamination idea was not limited to bamboo and I should have mentioned that I was thinking of those chopping blocks (~$25) that Aldi have every now and then, which at around 50mm thick, could still be rebated to suit the size and shape of your application. Ummm, now that I think of it, the task is starting to sound like the Sydney Opera House.

Navigator is leaning towards the white plastic Jayco unit.
I'm going for the marine ply one, besides... it will give me something different to do.

When & where did you ask that question Dot?
Did I have another seniors moment?
No... if cooking inside then will have the TV flat against the wall with tea towel over the screen.
But we've found that the small portable cookers - with the gas canisters - are a lot quicker & more efficient than the cooktop in the van!
So we now have 2 ovem - canisters that is.
Plus the Baby Q.
