HI, all.
Shirley - it's a very small marina, more suited to shallow draft vessels, and can possibly be viewed on Google Earth. Maybe check out caravan parks with water access....

HI, all.
Hi, Shirley - from the truck stop and free camp at Yelgun head south to Brunswick Heads, turning off when arriving at the park on your left hand.
THe fisho's co-op is at the north end of said park, and after picking up your calamari and chips, in front of you is a small marina/boatharbour with charter boats on your left, a few vessels for sale dead ahead and several shallow draft yachts including a couple of gorgeous multihulls and a really sweet cat yawl. (Don't go there.) Further to your left there's a fine grassed area belonging to the fisho's co-op, you're customers, right? and the Byron Bay B....... sorry, rangers cannot touch you. Over on the right is a large caravan park, with a few regulars. and the cost for a site per night will scare you out of your nether articles. Otherwise it's a great little town. Oh, yes, there's an oyster farm nearby.
Upon reflection there's free lamingtons for the first clear definition of a cat yawl.

Re: Hi, Shirley, are you there?
I might be able to add to my box of lamingtons.
My definition of a cat yawl.....I guess it is a catamaran with a mainmast & a short mizzenmast behind the helm position.
We will have to check out your location next time we go up the coast, thanks.

Hi, all.
Deborah - We were at Brunswick Heads some time back and are now in Texas for a month, winding down and admiring our new signage and our luverly new Fiamma awning, which was not a planned purchase...

Hi, all.
Shirley - sorry, but no lamingtons. Cat boats are unusual, but still quite efficient, having an unstayed mainmast as far forward as possible. You were right about the yawl configuration - the catboat's mizzen was actually set up in Louisiana hence it's name...you know - hi, yawl.

Re: Hi, Shirley, are you there?
Yes, there is a mono hull boat called a Cat with a yawl set up but I thought that you said, " gorgeous multi hulls," so I thought that someone must of had a yawl setup on a catamaran, never mind I already have several lamingtons on hold, don't go eating them.
We use to have a ketch rigged yacht.
Texas is a great camp area we have stayed there many times & found the town folk very welcoming.
