Camps 7 indicates Duaringa is a 48 hour stop only... although none of the comments we can see in WikiCamps mention this. One comment did say it was very noisy as close the railway line.
Just sayin...

One comment did say it was very noisy as close the (2) railway line.
(1) Might be an exception for big tippers. Probably an issue if people were taking up residence.
(2) Don't remember trains keeping me awake, but then I could have been sleeping on my good ear.
(3) Was in response to a request for an emergency stop gap plan B if plan A went pear shape.
Just sayin...

Put us down as maybes as well. One time we were there in August- sorry folks- it was minus2 one morning but still like the place. Might be a good idea to ask caretakers if possible to ask for the lower area to be set aside for a group!

I seem to recall - from where I have no bloody idea - of a possible location not far from Charters Towers, in fact I think it was a little south of the highway from CT to TVL.
As we are heading that way - currently at the Barkly Homestead CVP - & heading for TVL then up to Atherton Tablelands so thought as we go through CT we might check out this place I can't remember.
Yeah, I know, OFD... Old Farts Disease.
Anyone recall what/where it was ...

Go scouting old fella

Had visitors today and I asked them if they wanted to go to the loo before they left for their home, the reply was, "has Chuck been in there"?
