Plenty of room, very nice people, and not too expensive.
Lots to see and do in that area.....
We are now in Bowen btw!

Thanks for the Endeavour tip Dee, just checked it out & that looks the bees knees & at $150 for the week that also hits the spot.
Should probably the give them a ring to see if we need to book in - or just pull up & say... "Saw your light on..."
Where are you heading for Dee... work or pleasure?

We didn't book, and it was full, but they found a spot for us ....suggest you book!
We've just arrived in Bowen and will be here for a year at least, with a few short trips away.....we have a caretaking contract...looking after a 96 house estate. We need to stop for a while because our caravan needs some repairs after the accident (wheel came off), Plus I need a little time to get my health on track again.
Not sure how I'll cope with being in one place, we've been travelling so long.....but I am planning a trip on my own to England for a month in September for a wedding.
We just love FNQ and we're sure you'll love it too...
Cheers
Dee

Dee take your binoculars up to Flagstaff Hill & have a coffee if it's still there & open.
One of my relatives ashes was let loose from up there ...........

BernieQ, know wotcha mean about the bloody tree fish, easy to catch but a bugger to bring to the boat or ashore!

Great area, so many places & things to go & see, The Tablelands has a good climate too.
I reckon it's a great area from Townsville north, so many NPs in the hinterlands, great places to camp a few days or more.
Love the tropical fruit in season too, yum, yum.
