Health Question

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

John & Steve,
A point of clarification:
It wasn’t me who bought the S600, it a was a mate when I was working in Canberra.

On a serious note:
Son-and-Heir visited last weekend.
He is a Critical Care Nurse Educator.
Which means he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to serious illness.
He anticipates being called back to ward work soon, as it will be ‘all hands to the pumps’ in a week or two. He is even re-training his own manager, as her ward experience is 30 years out-of-date.
This virus is THREE TIMES as contagious as the Flu virus, and so far there’s no antidote, just treatment for the symptoms.
Hospitals are raiding their basements for superseded ventilators & scavenging parts to repair discarded ones.
Australia has about 2000 critical care beds. We will need double that at the peak of the crisis.
His hospital is planning to use a standard ward to supplement their ICU by upgrading the equipment level.
As he was packing to return to Melbourne, he told us he would not be revisiting until the virus emergency was over.
He will be working at the frontline, and can’t risk passing the virus on to us.

I hope all of those that are panic buying toilet paper and other items are also stocking up on condoms for their self isolation period, the last thing Australia needs is these people breeding more stupid people
