I'm due for an eye Inj. 13th Jan and the Optomologist require a negative result no more than 72 hours before the appointment.
Everyone enjoy themselves over the season and stay safe please, we need you all next year.

They are just protecting themselves, he might have been to Qld or Vic recently and they don't want any of the interstate stuff ..... Clearly he hadn't been to WA, aren't they working on cutting at the dotted line and moving away from the other half of the country?

Our second test on Wed and have to wait for those results- very slow with the amount of tests being done. On phone 55 mins this morning to see what the hell is going on. the poor woman was putting me on hold 3 times as they afe getting updates at least 2 hourly. If we had known there was a positive case at funeral that day we would have got first test on day 1 then our second on day 5 and this all would have been past history. Found out this morning also the reason for me not getting the text Wed when rules changed at 1am reducing quarantine rom 2 to 1 week was that I had never been checked on by text, police or phone call as Bruce and all others were. Hopefully be able to go to Sally's either this evening or in the morning - if results arrive.

Just read this and it's a bit of an eye-opener for sure.
I wondered how many sheeple know of their rights under the law, and how many are actually using this law to go about their daily life and business.

Federal Privacy Act 1988 94H

For myself, it doest concern me as I'm double vaxxed and recovering from a Lobectomy ( removal of a cancerous lung lobe ) and certainly don't want to be anywhere near someone that's carrying covid

I do love watching the likes of Charlie Pickering take the mickey out of these anti mask and anti vaccine people who quote laws and rules to justify their behaviour that simply don't exist in Australia so have absolutely zero relevance to their claims ..... they probably only exist in some red neck US state but for some reason these "sheeple" being lead by complete twits think the rules are world wide or something. They'll take some crap dribbled out on social media as factual without ever fact checking to see if who ever was quoted ever said what is being claimed, or even if the logic follows any sort of path rather than just starting with complete B/S and building on that platform with giant leaps into the fantasy world of their own minds and putting this out as more proven fact ....

The technique isn't new of course, it is known as "misdirection" if you swallow the leading story then you will accept anything after it as fact, if you doubt it from the beginning and fact check it, then you won't read any more of it or anything from the author because they are known to you to not be truthful.

There is a classic case of this "misdirection" with a campaign about water boiled in a microwave and then cooled, killed plants because the microwave caused some effect in the water destroying any nutrient value and the ability of the plant to absorb the microwave boiled water.
They start out by saying they were doubtful, but did the tests themselves using straight tap water, boiled on the stove water and rain water and show plants is different states of health, the microwaved watered plant finally dying completely .... they attached university research papers etc to verify what they were saying was true ......
The whole lot was rubbish, the lab test was faked and the lab results and papers were from universities that looked to have legitimate names, just the spelling in the middle of the name was a tad jumbled, so no such university actually existed so the papers etc were faked as well ...... How many people to this very day still believe this myth? I wonder how many are actually fact checking what I just posted to see if I'm telling porkie pies and water boiled in a microwave and then cooled really does kill plants .....

T1,
Microwaves definitely kill plants.
I found some pumpkin at the back of the fridge with tiny mushrooms growing on it. :?
I put it in the microwave for just 30 seconds, and all the little mushrooms shrivelled and died! :o
I gave the pumpkin to the chooks next door… :D

47,738 covid cases reported( actual up to 2- 3 times more) in the last 24hrs. The puts Australia no 6 in the world for reported cases in the last 24hrs. For a population at just under 26,000,000 we sure know how to spread a virus.

ScoMo’s latest pronouncement shows who he’s backing.
No free RAT kits for the general public, as it would “interfere with the profits” of the pharmacies & supermarkets selling the kits at a huge profit. And it seems he’s not interested in reports of some pharmacies price-gouging — leaving the ACCC only able to ‘name & shame’, not prosecute.
So he sees the pandemic as a business opportunity, not a public health issue.
No wonder he has comprehensively avoided taking leadership of the crisis — unless there’s good news to announce.
