Sounds a good idea Ray.

The photo is quite sharp. It looks like some of the copper is still exposed. (better viewed on your photo as compared to the screen grab.)

All wires are insulated. I think it's an optical illusion: reflection from the shiny surface of the plastic.

Don't know Ray, that photo Jon put up looks like the insulation has been melted at some stage ... worth getting a good pair of eyes to double check it .....

Auto Elec checked all cables before amalgamating & reconnecting.
I'm sure any suspect cabling would have been replaced.
I've had another look underneath. Can't see anything suggesting a problem.
