That's it the one. I even managed to get a TV guide. Registration should be through by Tuesday.

Yep I applied for traveler. I have put it all away till I get the van back. I will be doing my best to use the original cabling. Don't want to drill any more holes. I am going to mount it in a cupboard above the fridge as I already have quite a bit of then cabling in there along with a 12 volt plug. I have also just had a look at my extra Foxtel box and lo and behold it is 12 volt. Not going to rush into that though. I will have a bit of work ahead of me though as I us the TV outside as well so I am starting to work out how to use the IR extender both in and out of the van. Double adapter for the 2.5 mm plug using 2 IR extenders may work.
This is going to make life a lot easier as setting up the terrestrial antenna was a real hit and miss affair. Some of the weird positions it ends up in to get a signal are a joke. At Hay earlier this year I had no signal, i got a bit frustrated so I sat down for a cuppa. The antenna slipped down the pole and rested on the gas bottles, resulting in a perfect picture. Hopefully if Camec get there act together we should have the van back by next Friday. Raena went in and read the riot act to them. 8 weeks to make a bloody door is not on.

You need to leave the VAST box on for the registration to work.
When you register a code is transmitted and if your set is not on to receive it - no registration.
Also, if your set has been off for some time, leaving it on for an hour or two might fix things.

If not you have to request a resend.
This is called "rehit" and can be done from this web page:
http://www.mysattv.com.au/decoderrehit.aspx

Make sure the VAST box is on and able to get ch 800/802 when you do the rehit.
