Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Finally got the mowing done, and got wet in the process...it rained I only had a minute or two to finish...so I mowed on
I haven't seen any Roo's since I started walking again...went outside to start the walk...bloody great big buck Roo on my front lawn :D :D
I had the new vast thingy changed into my name...it's working good.
Any happy snaps Dave ;) ;)

Good morning All. I visited the local bowlo after seeing GP yesterday afternoon. While at the bowlo there was an almighty storm with pouring rain, enough to put a foot of water on the bowling green. I had to have an extra couple of beers before braving the rain to come home to check that our house had been protected from flooding by the council drainage work that I requested and was done last year, all fine.

Visited GP for result of back scan only to be told, no problem just some Osteoarthritis but that doesn't really explain the pain I am experiencing after sitting for a while. Doc gave me a script for Paracetemol Osteo, 2 tablets 3 times daily, 5 repeats of 192 tablets meaning a total of 1150, maybe I won't need to eat, or I may be able to sell them on the black market.

Terry, the P drug is just the generic form of the N drug...whatever works for you mate.

greetings
Two different drugs that belong to the same family, the brand name of the P drug is S-O-M-A-C. The N drug has a string of law suits to face regarding side effects including kidney failure https://www.drugwatch.com/proton-pump-i ... e%20public.

Thanks for that reminder Terry. I had been taking both drugs for a long time (yes simultaneously even) and it is easy to mix them all up and of course you are very correct (as usual). That warning about kidney failure is not so pleasant, when people trust the drug companies to help them instead of killing them. I am still needing to take 2 of the panto ones daily , 40mg even, so not as lucky as some.
It took well over 15yrs before I got the dose down to 20mg daily, but I still have flair ups where I need a Mylanta tablet or two at night. During the 15 yrs I did manage to wean off them and spent maybe 6 mths without them, one letter from the lawyers regarding the NRMA accident claim, and within a few days I was back at the doctors and on 40mg daily.
With the workshop burning down, I struggled on the 20mg, but it is gradually settling down again.
Ate to much last night at the pub having a dinner with my valentine ... and her plus one, coco the dog, so today I felt like a beached whale .... not to eat Dottie and Bernie, just blotted ... the wallet is much lighter now though, $42 a round of a beer and a glass of wine, at a pub, maybe a tad upper class venue, but nothing that over the top ... but the food is top class, and so was the company 8-)

No Norflex George? I've been on the 6 osteo ease since the discovery the other drugs had created 4 ulcers in my oesophagus and inflammation of the stomach lining. I'm down to only two in the morning most days, and the occasional Norflex when the muscle spasms get excessive, but it still looks like a snack pack of pills each morning

That one is not good, best not to use the Nexium, it appears to be hard on the kidneys and if they are already compromised, the Somac might be a better option

T1, You must have been paying super top dollar for your Valentines day drinks. I could sh..faced for that much up here.
Even in Vic, when we were down south last month, the most I paid for a beer was $10.50. Glad you enjoyed yourself, but that's a tad too much. Unless Marg was drinking a bottle per round, which I doubt that she would.
Cheers

Yeah, we both said it would have been cheaper to buy bottles of wine and a carton of beer, but I guess they were cashing in for the special day, although drinking at a pub or any licenced venue is rather expensive in SA these days .... might have to start brewing my own steak in a glass and visit wineries and buy unlabelled bottles to avoid the savage taxes .... and maybe a still ..... have to ask the expert at the next Taggerty ;)
Just looked online for still prices :o ummm..... maybe not ...... under 5 ltr still is legal in Aust ... that's not 5 ltrs production, but a 5 ltr brewing pot

T1, thanks for the heads up on the Nexium. My Terrie and her dad both eat them like lollies sometimes.
If you are gunna make beer, then Bernie is the man. If you want alcohol the talk to Al next time you see him. I don't really know why beer is so expensive down south, it's not like they make better beer cheaper up here. Just better.
Regardless of a that, it's good to hear that someone had a nice day with their significant other yesterday. :D
Cheers
