Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Was fine until one day she didn't come up to the house for her food, when she didn't arrive the next morning went hunting for her and found her down in the bottom paddock, behind a hedge which is why didn't see her. Spent the day trying to get her up, brought the tractor down to lift her and she tried to rise, but fell down again. Covered her hoping she we just a bit sick, but next day she was struggling so spent the day talking to her and watching her deteriorate, but she was comfortable and not in pain, just old and out of energy. Went down next morning and she must have passed during the night, very sad after having her for all her life, buried her with the other horses and decide no more horses even though still love riding and having them around.

After having so many dogs and horses pass through my life, losing her has effected me more than any other horses demise, but life goes on and we have to cope with end of life loses, as there's nothing we can do about it. Knowing me. like dogs if a rescue horse come upon the scene, will probably take it in, always find it hard to see horses and dogs who are desperate for a home and not help. I do have around 20 acres of productive paddocks.
Tanks here ; know exactly how you feel and like you I would also save a Rescue Dog.
Keith.

Have a loverly day everyone, the suns out now, rain stopped and time to run with the dogs before the rain come back, as they are complaining and pushing for a stick run.

We is camped up in a turn around spot off a minor road outside Stawell (where they have that famous athletics event) after picking up some ag pipe for our friend in Horsham. Got too late so this looked like a good spot, a big nest of bee hives further down a track that looked inviting and would have chanced it in the Mazda or the Hino, but this thing complete with the Prius on the trailer is just a bit too big .... tempting, did think about dropping the car and trailer off ... but fortunately the sun called off any further action

Spent an over night at Bill and Lesley's (Ballarat Bill) they are both recovering from knee or hip work, but both seemed well.
Spent the next 4 days at Cuppa and Julie's place, helped Cuppa sort the steering issues and oil spills from the power steering, poor workmanship by OKA in WA lead to issues that should never have happened, but sorted now.

Travelled to the rest area at Smyth's Creek to empty the grey water and black water, lovely spot, we'd only travelled 5kms for Cuppa and Julie's, but bugger it, stayed the night there

Finally found the source of the eye burning and lung tearing fumes that caused the mutiny in Bendigo resulting in Margaret towing the trailer behind the Prius and me driving the MH on my own.

I'll put the story on the other thread

Good morning.
Made it to another day 😊, I wish all those COVID disbelievers would get a dose 😡. So far Carol is still testing negative.
Sorta funny the day I tested positive I had an appointment with my doctor...had to ring and cancel, he rang me later in the day to tell me the results of my blood tests done the week before....he said except for having COVID I'm in perfect condition 😂😂 all tests were in the good range .🤔🤔
Sorry about your pony NP. I don't get attached to animals But good thing Carol does 😜 she's kept me for a long time...I'm hoping for a better day today.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning all from freezing Dimboola. 3.2 feels like -2.0 according to BOM. So we are staying in bed up with the diesel heating going until the outside world thaws a bit.

Windscreen replacement went without a hitch in Ballarat on Thursday.

Heading to Bordertown Recreation Lake today.

Safe travels everyone.
Cheers

Good morning everyone, from a cool and windy Kyneton.
It started drizzling yesty arvo and continued into the night. Then a cold wind blew up and it's still blowing. Time to head north I reckon. Bandit agrees with me, he doesn't like the cold at all anymore. If it was for friends and family I don't think I'd bother coming here, at this time of year. Don't know how I managed to live here for so long.
Glad your windscreen finally got sorted Lesley, enjoy your travels.
I hope you are getting better Bernie. I hoped all the covid sceptics get a decent dose of it too. I knocked me for six when I had it.
I also hope all those with medical issues are on the improve, being sick is never fun.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers
David

G'day Tanks, (keith) agree very hard to bypass wonderful animals that now rely upon us for their survival and are in need of help. Today I say no more horses, in the future when have gotten over my sorrow and grieving, will probably hook the horse float up and collect a sad soul looking for comfort and help. Hope it won't be a rideable horse, because love riding them so much and treated right, they love to be ridden. Stay cool Tanks

Thanks Dot, but expect another little or big soul will come along and won't be able to resist. If I wasn't healthy and fit, probably a different story, but have the ability and capacity to help and expect I will. Still got horse gear in good condition and have yet to relinquish the float, just in case. Nothing better than walking into a paddock and having those magnificent beasts trotting up to you, saying hello and being happy in your company. Wish it was that way with most humans who fear difference in people:roll:

Rain has stopped, sun has come out, time to do some work on the bike and cruiser. Have a lovely day everyone.
