EerWeGoAgen Departs Sept 1st 2013

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Gee George thinks of everything, seatbelts under the table, what a great innovation.
Safe driving Dot, enjoy the trip. :D

day 28 over GDR heading to Glen Innes002.jpg
This is the road going over the Great Divide Range from Gatton to Glen Innes. These pics do not catch the true gradients of the road
needless to say we stayed at a steady 35kph for most of the way (14ks) was the worst of the 25k bends :o It was better than the Tenterfield to Casino run over the range because it was much shorter but in places the corners were more severe but for a sheila I did pretty good :D . G took off his poppanappy when we got to GI. Got to have a feed of KFC for lunch, something has changed with that stuff?? not as good as the old days?? OK going to head off to find our stop for tonight. If there is no coverage I shall say see you mob tomorrow I guess.x

Dot,

You should try Glen Innes to Grafton or Armidale to Grafton or Urunga.

Quite a good scenic drive is from Uralla, just south of Armidale to Gloucester via Walcha and Nowendoc, along Thunderbolts Way

Dot,

Your earlier post stated "This is the road going over the Great Divide Range from Gatton to Glen Innes."

Dotty, if you have time in Glen Innes, go to the land of the beardies museum. It is my fav place in that town. One of the most fascinating places we have found so far on the East Coast, and have enjoyed visiting there on two separate trips. There is always something to discover there...cant say it's a new discovery because its an old museum! The standing stones are also worth a visit, a very eerie experience. ;) ;) ;) ;) :D :D

Had lunch at a nice small park (not in books) on the right just as you get into Moonbi. BBQ area and a dog area with these statues in the area. Also met a nice couple that were taking an abandoned lamb home from her fathers farm. Pity some of the other people that stopped with their dogs didn't bother to put them on a lead and then got stroppy with the poor dog that wouldn't come to him. No wonder the way he treated the poor things. Carried one off by the collar, luckily G came and got me back in the bus.  Now have tea on at our night stop. Camp stop # 330 page 127. RED BANK REST AREA. HEMA 38H6. 30 59 39 S 150 22 40 E. Camps book 6... Has flushing loos, large area suitable for all rigs. Rubbish bins which are overflowing. Sent Helen (the old boring one) to see where she was but we had passed like ships in the night by "that much" High way is a wee bit busy tonight but that's what you get in school hols.. Saw a smart crow today, it was dragging a dead snake off the road for a good feed  :D Man do you see some wombles on the roads.. Overtaking on double lines seems to be the fashion lately  I am going to get one of those dash cams now for sure...
