Back home again, Margaret was a bit "spaced" when I collected her from the nurse after the procedure, so she must have got her money's worth from the anaesthetist. She had a good sleep on the way home as well, then gave me cr*p about needing to have a nap when we reached Bruce's boat  I couldn't believe at 6:30 in the morning, I was awake enough to get the car loaded and find the hospital ........ I did I mention I don't do early real well

All is well with the world again, sort of, on Friday we have to attend the funeral of a really nice bloke who owned the boat a few up from Brian's houseboat, spent more than a few nights sharing stories and drinks with him and his wife .... massive heart attack, and that was it .... he was younger than me as well, sad, but I guess we are reaching that age where those around us fall off the perch .... till we follow them :(

George I am a tad confused, whom were you going to meet n greet? at a resort?
Terry you should of said about the RAH? could of given you a secret spot of parking and how to get there.
Hope Margaret is doing ok now.
David Oh David another dose? Maybe you all got the covid from your FIL , he may of got the last joke . On Wednesday listen for any laughing coming from no where, they say the dead person hangs around for their own funeral so be aware esp if he was a joker. :D

Dot, we think we picked up the covid at one of the hospitals.
When the poor old fella was transferred from the local hospital, to Wangaratta Base, he was tested for Covid, RSV and Mpox. Also was kept in isolation until negative results back. Same when he came back to Yarrawonga. Whatever the source, 3 off us have tested positive. I'm the only one that qualifies for the antivirals. I think I'm lucky, because I got onto it quickly. I certainly don't feel as bad as I did when I had it the first time round. I'm just going to lay low in the moho today. If I'm real lucky I'll test neg tomorrow morning, and all will be well. Otherwise, I'll be that shifty looking bloke looking on from afar.
Safe travels everybody. Have a top day.

Good morning 11c bright orange/red sky sun making an appearance 23c expected, good day for the start of pennants.

My eldest g’son is 27 today, can’t believe how quickly the years have flown, only seems a short time since he loved travelling in the bus with us, he’s just bought a Hi Ace van, bed in the back already to make going camping more comfortable  youngest g’son will be 10 in October, we’re so lucky to have the five of them & Whitney 22, all living close to us, makes our life so pleasurable.❤️ them all. Youngest 2 are off to zone Athletic carnival today.

Rest up David & get better, being an observer from afar sounds the way2 go, keep away from the family.
Think there must be a tiredness sickness doing the rounds, I’m feeling better breathing but unbelievable tired & very little energy, maybe the steroids are making my insomnia worse, problem is even if I lay down I don’t sleep. 😥

Shirley, I think you are spot on about the tiredness sickness. Not really sure that it has a name yet. One of my old workmates lives just around the corner from here, and I rang him yesterday to apologise for not catching up yet. He told me that he has been really crook too. Took him nearly a fortnight to kick it off. Now his neighbour has it. So there is something making all the oldies crook. I reckon it is another strain of covid that just doesn't show up on the old RAT'S.

Good morning, just.
15* and windy for our last day here in Kyneton.
Tomorrow morning I have to drop Julie off to the bus at 6:50 for her ride to Melbourne airport and then her flight to NZ for work, after which I will head toward home on my own. I have a motel room booked in Holbrook for tomorrow night so only about a 4 hour drive.
I hope you recover from the covid quickly Dave.

George

Good morning everyone.
Shirley since we moved to Degilbo we don't see our grandkids as we used to...all bar two have cars the eldest who lives in Brisbane and Olivia who is on her learners at the moment... that's 7 with cars none have been here... except Xmas day.
I know it upsets Carol a bit...😡
Our daughter and son have one more sleep...then they are off to Tassie 😁...
I got bored yesterday and decided to water proof the daughters van.
As I still have lot's of the stuff I redone the winny roof with, I climbed up roller in hand and started...I have one coat on of the rubber membrane stuff and will do another today... photo attached.
The only other thing on today's agenda is to the chemist for another months pills...
It's 15 degrees here heading to 30.
Keep safe everyone.
Bernie.

Good morning 17c this morning & prediction is 27c, NW wind.

Off to our GP today for scripts & check up, still feeling extremely tired, breathing has improved & only an occasional cough.
Our pennant teams both won outright y’day, good start to the competition, I have pulled out of my team, will only be as a reserve if needed, think good decision for me & the team, we need to win this year.

Van looking good Bernie your daughter is fortunate that you are able & willing to repair & upgrade it, think you enjoy being busy 🤔 bored if you have nothing to do.
Have you been walking lately 🤔

A winny roof specialist huh Bernie? You up to doing another one? lol.
Black? Will it stay black or does it get a white coat?
I spent most of yesterday attempting to get the radio out of the dash ready for installing a new unit.
Found the 2 'keys' in the glove box but, nope!
Most radios you just insert the keys either side, pull out the radio a bit, remove the wiring plug & the antenna wire and the job is finished but ............
This one was screwed in and meant removing almost the entire dashboard to get at the screws and bolts!
The unit I'm installing is a MultiMedia unit.
Radio, Android Auto (phone, Google maps etc etc), 2USB for charging or music, videos etc, 2 cameras if I want etc etc.
Like this'un. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/31558109256 ... UIThvOGyZA
Only thing it doesn't do is scratch my back!
It is a 1 Din unit which means it fits in the same slot as the old radio but then has a 7" touch screen vertical in front of it.
No SIM or GPS as it gets all that from the mobile phone.
It has a wireless gadget that fits on the steering wheel as well as a remote so it can be operated from in the back of the Winny.
Neat huh? Further reports once installed!
