Good morning everyone, I'm on cyclone watch over at Pipers Creek today. Cyclone Jack has just turned 3yo, so I will have to be on the ball.
The airco looks good Bernie, 1 spacer extra. Cuppla days.
Bloody he'll George, have you been Karate chopping windows? Or fixing bus doors, maybe?
Good luck at golf Jon.
Lesley, I hope you and Erich have a wonderful trip.
Safe travels everybody.

Good morning 15c cloudy grey sky, 17c predicted, rained overnight, don’t think it will rain, sun trying to make an appearance.
Wow George, what have you been doing to yourself

that sure looks a painful situation to be suffering, hopefully it is repairing & feeling better by now, did they glue it or stitch it
Good luck with the new club head Jon, hope you’re a winner
Enjoy the cyclone David, I’m sure you’ll have a good time keeping up with Jack.

Ouch George, I didn't realise we were in competition for who could injure themselves the most, but I think you have a winning hand there

That looks real deep, but not a lot of blood flowing out, so maybe you managed to miss any serious blood vessels etc .... I'm not sure if the actual laceration hurts the most, or the physio after it getting the use of the hand back, but best of luck with both .... we don't seem to heal as quick as we get older and those pains that come back as we age from earlier injuries don't seem to leave that gap in between any more
Time to take a bit more care George .... says T1 who seems to not listen to such advice

Don't worry Terry, some children (
adults) take a little longer to mature. Although, they eventually do.
Ouch, George.

Terry, by the time the photo was taken in hospital I don't think I had much blood left, it was through the house and down the drive where I was running to catch up with Julie who was just about to turn onto the road when, luckily for me, she saw me in the rear vision mirror and was able to bandage it up while more blood ran onto the grass, prior to driving me to hospital.
I entered the hospital on Sunday lunch time but, due to nurse strikes, was not operated on (stitched up) until Wednesday about midday.

"tanks " here George. Was there any nerve damage or ligament damage? In any case, you are a lucky boy.

Surely they would have treated that as an emergency, nurses strike or not, that looks like a surgeon required repair rather than a nurse stitch in emergency anyway.
How did you manage to do it George?

Is this something I should look forward to in later life Jon .... I thought it was one of those optional things, only the getting old was mandatory and that is still just a physical problem, I avoid identifying as old at the moment and plan to stay that way for as long as possible

Terry, it was the surgical team nurses who were on strike so the team were limited to who they could operate on.
I stupidly placed my hand into the hot water compressor to remove some fluff while the fan was operating, I was certain I had sufficient room for my hand.
"tanks " here George. Was there any nerve damage or ligament damage? In any case, you are a lucky boy.

I don't think so Keith but may find out next Thursday when I have a follow-up. I can move all fingers while the wrist is stabilised in a plaster cast.

Not much I can say about that one George, seems to be common thing with blokes that have always done things on the dangerous side of safe, eventually it catches up with you ..... had a mate do a similar thing with the rooftop rattler on his bus, what a mess that made, it was the edge of a drum fan that got him, cutting tree branches with a reciprocating saw while trying to balance on the roof of the previous motorhome was my dumb moment .... at least it wasn't the chainsaw I guess, and only took a piece out on the top knuckle on the right hand little finger, probably would have been the hand if I'd been using the chainsaw, so I consider I got off very lightly
