Re: Good morning daily
Heat pump water heaters are like an air conditioner but extract what ever heat they can get out of the air around the hot water tank and transfer that into the water. Just like any air conditioner, there needs to be a fan to move air through the outside radiator ..... I guessing George discovered just how fast those blades spin and how deep they can cut ..... fortunately the blades weren't sharp, he would have been trying to pick up pieces of hand to be reattached and probably cut more bits off

Hind sight is a wonderful thing, if he'd turned it off, the accident wouldn't have happened, but then we wouldn't have seen the photo and heard the story ....... "I turned the hot water pump off and cleaned out the fluff" doesn't make near as good a story does it

And I wouldn't have a photo to show you all.
It has caused a delay regarding the MH door repairs.

Good morning.
I installed the "bottom" of the aircon just to see exactly how many of those spaces I need, looks like only one...I ordered three...so Dave if you're short a cuppla when you finally buy one...

I don't get up much else yesterday, Carol is a bit off colour so I was keeping the noise level down.,, that's my excuse for doing nothing
Not much I can do about my neighbour Jon...
The kid's arrived in Brisbane at one pm yesterday...I bet they slept well in their own beds
Enjoy what ever you get up to today.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning 14c, beautiful blue cloudless sky sun shinning brilliantly, prediction 22c sounds like a good day, slight westerly breeze rippling the water.
I’m off for a roll up this morning, definitely need the practise & exercise
then we need to vote, local government elections, NSW.

In the process of refitting the spark plugs ..... it seems to be just are hard as it was getting them out. If it wasn't for the dramas they have with plugs welding themselves into the head, I spend the $$ and buy those iridium plugs that last for 500,000kms, but I'll probably just used the standard ones and replace them every 15,000kms, just to ensure I don't end up with spark plugs stuck in the head.
Correlle dinnerware arrived yesterday, dinner Sun night with David and his lady, then head off home Monday. Well, that's the plans at the moment

I don't plan on doing 500,000 ks in the bus.
Although, that's irrelevant because the bus is diesel.
Morning all.
cold and wet.
Just like Nigel said...

Re: Good morning daily
Always brings a smile when people on various forum promote diesel engines because they will last for 1,000,000 .... like they are going to drive that far while they own it

The fuel economy is similar these days, 4km/ltr is 25ltr/100kms, about the average for a 10 tonne rig, LPG 99c/ltr, unleaded 1.62.5/ltr, diesel 1.75/ltr here in the Illawarra, LPG 1.05/ltr, unleaded 1.70/ltr, diesel 1.75/ltr in Queanbeyan, LPG 1.11/ltr , Unleaded 1.70/ltr, Diesel 1.75/ltr Wagga, so fuel prices still favour using LPG, even if it's not as good as before little Jonny Howard decided that it should be taxed like petrol and diesel and the state govts jumped on the band wagon. In Victoria LPG is on average 70c ltr cheaper than unleaded or diesel, so fuel costs aren't a better deal either.
Servicing a diesel engine compared to a petrol/lpg engine is the place the price difference really bites, less than half the cost to service a petrol/lpg engine compared to a diesel engine .... then throw in the high revving Euro diesels and double it again because the oil is so expensive .... there is no $$ savings to be had owning a diesel these days if you aren't hauling a couple of trailers full of freight inter city.
