Its a long walk to eagle hawk neck from your place.
same for Sorell just for fruit , you must have been on a mission NP.
Was it just for the surf.??
No rain here but scuds are about.
Bernie.
Bernie, been a traveller all my life since a kid, covid slowed that and our band collapsing because of age and illness has meant travelling has become scarce. Now go to Aus each year and play with friends in the snow season, but that's irregular and this year they cancelled then the snow came along, so haven't been anywhere, but think I'm going in late October.
Going for a trip to Sorell or Hobart is a small bonus, checking out surf spots and jumping in for awhile also helps and the dogs love it, buy food for neighbours because it's half the price compared to down here and fuel costs me almost nothing except a litre of diesel shutting down the engine at the end of the day. Also stop at local growers places and check out the old ladies at the shops

, sadly most are obese and sick so no joy there. But there's some lovely ones around, just got to find them then try to chat them up, but it's much easier if doing a gig. They still seem to want to get to know you even at this age, and surprising, lots of younger ladies (40-60) want to get to know you. It's amazing the effect music and a bit of grog has on people, which is nice to be complimented, but not into younger chicks, prefer ladies who've been round the block and know about life, but still want to enjoy it and have the ability, but they are getting scarcer and scarcer.
Noticed on here or elsewhere that some one counted up the number of places they've lived, so did a mental calculation and was shocked to realise have lived in well over 40 places during my life, this place is the longest at over 25 years, before that 5 years and that was in Canberra where we played 7 days a week during that time. So get itchy feet and have to go somewhere and the bike has helped that, with the bonus of getting a surf and the dogs can frolic in the sea and sand. Being Tas, the beaches are almost deserted except for those closer to Hobart and Sorell, mostly dog walkers. Eagle hawk neck is always almost deserted and unlike Aus, you don't have to fight for waves just pick which ones the best and jump on and they are great even small ones with some nice barrels when the reef is going off.
Today going to a local market, not sure whether riding or driving, will depend on the weather to check out all the cool artists and artisans in the area. The markets are small because there's not many people here, but they are sure talented and make and sell some wonderful stuff. Always come home with something or some local food, luckily just about all of it's organic so can eat it without worrying.
Have a nice day and don't overdo the work, life's for having fun.
