Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

& a prosperous new year to one & all!
cheers!

EDIT: I had to laugh at all the people/persons who were watching television here in Mannum. All we get on 7 & 9 (& their sister stations) was either the Fireworks in Sydney or Melbourne.
So all those letting off their illegal fireworks made a racket at 11:30PM.
After that young fellow got killed in Melbourne with homemade & illegally letting it off I thought the Police here would have swooped & caught them.

Maybe, they were in the middle of coffee and dounuts waiting until 12pm SA time?

They would have been busy setting up road side drug and drink driving check points, that's where the money is, the local people would be looking after domestic violence cases and keeping the peace in town when the club and pubs emptied out ...... Too much paperwork and court appearances etc for minor infringements like letting off fireworks in their own backyard ....

What's the difference between last year and this year, or to put it another way what has changed since yesterday. There's no difference between this year and last year and yesterday is no different to the day before. Why do people get so excited about the new year, when no other animals celebrate a nothing and it's all in people heads and a waste. Have always wondered what this celebration is all about, other than making more money for the corporate world and adding lots of pollution to the air.

This morning went for an early surf, no one around, one other enjoying a small swell and some nice little waves. Afterwards went to a lovely sheltered bay where my neighbour was practising on her paddle board along with a couple of other paddle boards which headed of round the point. People everywhere, sleeping on the ground, in their cars and on the beach. Then others arrived with their dogs and suddenly no one was sleeping on the beach, dogs woke them up by charging round and spraying them with sand as they played together. Nothing like seeing big fat people trying to get up with a couple of dogs trying to catch each other, they have to roll onto their stomachs and push themselves up and that appeared to be a huge struggle. Just can't understand people who become obese, must be so uncomfortable and lots of times embarrassing.

Have a nice day everyone, I'm having a meal then heading back for another surf, it's one of those days where it'll be good most of the day except at high tide and that's passing during eat time. It's a 25klm drive, but well worth the trip, probably crowded by now with touro's.

Reality sucks, but only if you know there is such a thing. I think it might be a sentient mind thing NP, putting a line through last yrs problem or celebrating how great last yr was for them, but hopes the new yr will be better and putting plans together, while probably intoxicated, on how they are going to achieve those goals ........

Sadly, the next week or so will see a lot of those plans diluted a tad or completely down the drain, but what separates the sentient from the non sentient is hope, that is what makes us strive to do better ....

Without hope, life would be rather hard to handle ...... unless you didn't know any better, then one day is much like another, try your best to see the next sunset and sunrise, if you did know better but didn't have hope .... that is where the suicide note comes in .......

How was that for putting a downer on everyone's first day of 2025 ;)

Good afternoon from an obese old lady, one day is just like the other for me. Midnight came so the doors and windows were closed and the tv turned up and I patted my pussy so he didn't hear those bloody useless crackers. I watched my fav singer Andrea Bocelli. Another beaut day.

Didn't go back for a surf, started raining and don't like getting wet. Lots of things humans do and celebrate amazes me Terry, not a bad description of why they celebrate new year, but it's not even logical. One day is not different to any other day, except for what occurs and that happens every day of our lives. My neighbour is celebrating being able to paddle round, she gets a big grin on her face and it's always great to see people happy when achieving new things. But do laugh when she falls off, such a shocked look on her face, but she's getting used to it as others there were.

Dot you may be obese, but do you crash on the beach on your back pissed, then try to get up when a couple of dogs bound over you. Even the slim ones looked hilarious when the dogs treated them as hurdles and not my dogs, or the neighbours.

My comment on the obese ones was because it looked extra hilarious as they tried to rise whilst on their back to get out of the way, but to no avail and had to plant their faces in the sand and push their upper bodies up enough so they could raise themselves. Even then they struggled to get upright and one even fell over again, luckily not into the water which was getting very close to them as the tide rose. So in a way the dogs did them a favour, otherwise they would've been swimming in another 30 minutes, floating or sinking.

To me it seems simple to not get overweight, but know others struggle and that's understandable. Every time I have to widen my belt, stop eating and that's rare, but my diet does help keeping slim. How others are, is their problem, have enough of my own to make any judgments on peoples lives, much prefer to enjoy interacting with them no matter their biological state. :)

Rain has stopped, so time for the dogs walk.

Here's my neighbour learning to ride a paddle board.

Good morning everyone. We've had a fair bit of drizzle, and some heavy rain overnight. It looks like it's passed by now.
Lots of flooded roads up north of us.
Did a lot of yardwork yesty. Removed a Bougainvillea. That was fun.
Dunno what's on today's program yet.
Stay safe on the roads if you're out and about.

Edit. 35mm in the gauge. I reckon we have only had a small part of what those further north have had.
Cheers
