Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

He and eldest brother-in-law made some sort of tin thingy attached to the vacuum to the wipers...
They didn't slow as much as they used to with out it.

They actually came out with a vacuum tank (an oxymoron if ever I've heard one) and had a second pump under the fuel pump. The vacuum canister lived under the righthand front mud guard I think, rusted out in the first yr or so and was deleted. The mechanical double pump cost a fortune, so they were replaced with the single fuel only pump ..... the wipers stopped at the base of a hill, but made up for it on the way down the other side, a quick launch off the lights (well, quick for those days) resulted in no wipers, a quick wipe as you sorted where second gear had gone on the "3 on the tree" and then the wipers stopped again while second gear wound out, screaming for mercy in the gearbox the whole time ......

The early Falcon was the same, but you learnt, after the second gearbox, not to double shuffle back to first, the cluster gear exploded if you did it too many times and were a tad quick off the clutch and planting the throttle to the floor to get away from the corner faster, the Holden gearbox just screamed for mercy for ages, before you pulled it out and fixed it ...... great days 8-)

The main reason is, Phoenix is old and really wouldn't go to well in a kennel.

Morning everyone. Sounds by the River is on today, so hundreds of additional people will turn up today. The golf course is a caravan park, as is the showground I believe, the day trippers will take up every parking spot available in every street withing a km or two of the river foreshore ..... once a yr, good on 'em ..... maybe we should set up the yard next yr as a car park and provide a ferry service to and from the event ...... but then again, it's already a car park, for all my projects

Jon, Phoenix is the third boy in the family :D sounds like he’s a very valued family member.

After rain & thunderstorms were predicted yesterday, we have brilliant sunshine, N/E breeze across the lake, Nathan just caught a whiting off their jetty.

Shirley,

I think the family pecking order starts with Phoenix! For a rescue, he has certainly woven himself into our fabric.

Good morning from down town Elliott Heads.
We arrived around 11 am... booked site was empty... plus the site behind...so I could just drive through..saves backing in 😁.
Some of the outlaws were already camped up, but we're in Bundy shopping...
Daughter was next to arrive and drove through a large storm getting here...we had none on our trip.
BUT we got belted by rain and wind around 10 pm
Last night... one of the g/kids arrived with girlfriend... they have booked a cabin...
I don't think any more of the kids arrive till next weekend..
Son and lady friend arrived back home from north Qld they have been away since boxing Day.
I'm waiting for update on the storms activity back home... just got update 13 mm at home.
Looks like a nice day coming up
Keep safe.
Bernie..
Oops...it's bacon and eggs day 🤤
