Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

BoM Stevenson Screen is in a hollow 6km out of town.
Wildly inaccurate for the town.
Historical location of a now-closed BoM research centre.
Our sensor is under the south-facing back veranda, in permanent shade.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

It's a bit strange that the BoM acceptable readings are in weird spots. Or the readings are taken by weird people.
The official Coombabah BoM site is inside the grounds of the Coombabah Waste Water plant. I used to work there. Some of the staff have an individual method of notating results.
At the old Beenleigh plant, one of the guys would only ever transcribe the rainfall in points of an inch. Unfortunately some of the younger guys would write the points directly into the results as millimetres of rainfall. Created some interesting questions from time to time. As for the temperature fluctuations, that's a whole 'nother story.

Good morning everyone from the bright and sunny GC.
Had a ordinary nights sleep, so I watched a fair bit of the Donald's inauguration, or is that re-inauguration, on the tv. Whatever, he's back. It seems to be the only thing on all the news feeds this morning.
Didn't get much done yesty except walking the dog and washed the bins out, once the bin truck came by.
Nothing much else to report.
Safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers

"tanks" here---again,
The Wyalkatchem WA outside temp today is aiming for only 41 degrees.
The in-house temperature is controlled at 26 c, so I will stay inside and have a 3-hour time trial with Centrelink over their wrong calculations. I have had this matter corrected six times in four months, so I will have another try and hope to connect with a customer service officer who speaks and understands English.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Keith, I'm pretty sure that comprehension of the English language is no longer in the job description. Neither is compassion, going by our recent dealings with them while trying to assist the MiL.

C/link huh, they killed off my mum years before she did pop off, they rang to ask G "as her guardian" some questions??? I had a pretty good sleep last night as I was really buggered but I had to be on the road at 7am. Got to hosp a bit earlier than needed but sat and waited. 10 minutes on the table and I was out the door and heading home. Phone rang, it was the lady from the x/r saying she had left some marker on my chest and to bring it back tomorrow as it was expensive plus radioactive so it went in the glove box. Got home and went to have my blood test. Only a few more things to get other things out of the way 3 more days to town for x/rays and GP for scripts, hairdresser for a dyke cut then away. Cooler today, watching the BOB's going through our once block is, goodness it is dry out there.

Back from another 10minute x/r and oh boy were happy to get their little radioactive spot. Apparently, some other place had one thrown away and the local tip had to be searched because of the radiation. Maybe I should of asked for a reward?? Just 2 more days of the daily trip to town. Beaut cool day so I am going to see what I can get up to.
