Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

That is sort of the plan. We have 8 weeks to move out and only 5 weeks till we plan to be in Sydney.
During that time, I can do more work on the Winnie till I get it to the stage we can travel to Syd early March to the "Everything Electric" weekend at the showground. we will have to work around Margaret's specialist appointments and my eye jabs and if they ever get their act together and do the cataract in my left eye. Then there is a get together of our Wollongong friends to do a few weeks wine tour of the King Valley, then Taggerty ..... then that's 4 mths away, way outside my planning comfort zone

I have a gut feeling this is going to put Margaret's foot problems back another 6 mths or more with the added stress

Not good news at all Dottie, but, better to have George in good health and then travel, it would be more enjoyable for both of you .......

If the Winnie is not there, then you've moved out, haven't you?

Yeah, and leaving before the official kick out date should give us a few brownie points. When we return, if we stay here for a few weeks, it will take them that long to get the paperwork organised to kick us out again, by then, hopefully something will be happening with the house block, then we can move there for a few weeks and see if they decide to start the paperwork on moving us on from there ..... by that time, we should be ready to hit the road again  Rinse and repeat until we have things settled here and we decide if we build a house on the block or not.

Margaret and Brian were talking to a couple of bloke fishing and one of them owns a few houses along Purnong Road and rent them out through Air B&B ..... for crazy money ... might be the way to go ..... a lot to think about

What are your plans and dreams for the rest of your lives? Start with that and work backwards to today.

However, be aware that unrealistic dreams can be life destroying traps.

You cheeky bugga  The whole rent assist thing is great for those who own nothing and are forced into the rental market, but we jointly own a house and land .... doesn't matter that the house can't be lived in because it's a pile of charcoal, that's what insurance is for ...... and around the loop we go again
Add to that, I'm pension age, but Margaret isn't, so I get 50% of the married rate ... lucky I don't smoke anymore because it would not be enough to keep me in rollies, forget about tailor made cigarettes.....

We could be cheeky buggers and get a cabin at the caravan park and pass that onto NRMA, they have to provide 12 mths rent or until our house is at the first stages of rebuilding ... or we sell the block ...... But that would be counterproductive, we want to hit the road, not be stuck in a caravan park cabin when we have our own house on wheels.

  They all went up in smoke Jon, we are starting about as far backwards as we can get, yet things still keep trying to move us back even further ...... there is nothing that brings you crashing down to earth faster than watching your house and motorhome and everything you own, going up in flames ... then looking down and realising , all you actually have as far as possessions, is what you are wearing and the car you drove up in .....

Dreams are still not a good thing at the moment so the sooner they are forgotten the better, we are making plans on the fly at the moment, each time the sun shines in the window is another day added to the rest of our life ...... so we plan that far ahead, what's for dinner is much later in the day, simply working through what is thrown at us each day is about as far as we can plan ahead at the moment .....
Not quite where I planned to be turning 70 .... but then again, I really didn't think I'd see 40 so ..... ;)

In the words of those great philosophers of life, "yesterday has past and you can not change it, tomorrow is yet to happen, live for today, you can't ask for a better gift ... it is called the present, Eleanor Roosevelt, Madam Teresa and Master Oogway in Kungfu Panda ;)
