Terry, how much does your Winny weigh with full everything's?
You'd think it would be less than ours. Mainly because the tanks are full of gas.

10.2 to 10.5 tonne. Found out why the kms/ltr wasn't great, massive gas leak at the filter housing on the converter. Couldn't smell it driving and it ran out of gas so switched over to petrol. Put 20 ltrs of LPG in it to take it for the rego check ..... I thought the gas smell was from filling it up .... but it wasn't, the leak was bad enough after the driving that it froze the fitting
Needless to say, it failed the inspection right from the get go. Back to the caravan park, find the leak ... engine cover has to come off, so seats have to come out .... the F word might have escaped a few times, but the fix was easy enough ..... there was a second problem, the LPG 3 way switch is supposed to turn both gas and petrol off in the middle position .... it didn't, middle position and petrol position it runs on petrol.
Pull the 3 way switch out, there is a terminal there for petrol, but nothing wired to it, Google was no help, traced the problem to the design from new. Seems it is designed to start on petrol no matter what, and once the engine revs are high enough, the gas kicks in and it switched the injectors off .....
Trip to see the man, nah, has to have an off position.
The rest of the afternoon has been hanging upside down under the dash to trace the wiring and design a method to turn the injectors off when the ignition is on and the 3 way switch is in any position other than petrol. The basics of the wiring is in, need a switching relay, 87a and 87 terminals, N/0 and N/C. In the closed position, the relay that interrupts the injector signals (2 out of the computer, 2 injector drivers) when powered, cuts the injector signal, no power, injection operates, so terminal 30 powered from the ignition and 87a (N/C) supplies power to the injector cut board and the injectors are off, power from the petrol side of the 3 way switch energises the relay, closing the 87 terminal (N/O) so it now connect to terminal 30 from the ignition and goes ... no where, no power to the injector cut board and the injectors can be driven by the computer ........
What are the chances of finding one of these relays in Balranald ...... took me ages to find anywhere that sold wire and spade terminals
The engine cover is back on, the seats are back in and a few cool beverages have been sampled .... the fight resumes tomorrow .....
