Good morning everyone. Its a beautiful morning here by the lake, but it will be 39⁰ later this arvo. Might finish up St the pub today, I reckon.
I spent most of yesty doing yard work. Nothing like tidying up Bougainvillea.
I'm going over to Corowa to see an old mate. He hasn't been real well lately, and the doc won't let him drive.
Have a top day everybody, safe travels.
Good morning daily

How is Pheonix doing Jon? You mentioned he was going in to have more tumour removed from his throat, is that still in the future or already happened?
Went to the hearing place today and the replaced the hollow shells that fitted in the ear to hold the speaker central, with filled in ones ..... all the high frequency sounds are much better now, but when Margaret has her phone on speaker for the news, it's no longer scattered noise, but back to the speaker in a tin can .... and that yanky twang that is the American reporters voice grates on my nerves again

Re: Good morning daily
Well, back in June or something. He had a growth in his throat removed and the pathology said it was an aggressive melanoma. Harry the vet suggested to basically let things run its course as full removal is virtually impossible. How is Pheonix doing Jon? It's grown again and he's having some troubles, so going under again to see what can be done. Luckily Harry is an old school vet so costs are relatively low. Years ago, I asked for some heart worm tablets. He basically said heart worm wasn't in this area so don't waste your money. Then, once said where we were travelling to, and he told me to use heart worm and ticks for a period either side of the dates. Old school and not money hungry.

You're very lucky to know/find one of those old school vets Jon. Most of them now are just money grubbing and playing on your emotions. But then, you might say that about a lot of the general medical practitioners these day too.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning All. 25* at the moment with 32* forecast.
I had a couple of wasted days. Had a call from my medical practice early on Wednesday advising me that my Doc wanted to see me at 9:30am who then advised me that I needed to go to John Hunter Hospital for some intravenous antibiotics.
I drove to the hospital immediately where I drove around and around the carpark fo some 20 minutes trying to find a parking spot. I eventually gave up and decided to go home however, when I tried to escape the carpark, I was asked for a parking fee of $3 which I refused to pay and told the gatekeeper that if he didn't open the gate I would stay where I was so that no others could exit. He eventually opened the gate.
After going home a freind who was going that way dropped me off back at the hospital emergency department door where i then waited for 5 hours to be admitted and taken to a bed. Why? I was only there for an injection. I was advised that I would need two injections and would receive one Wednesday evening and another Thursday morning.
I had an uncomfortable night's sleep expecting to be able to head home early Thursday morning. Not to happen, advised that I could have the injection at 1pm. At 1:45pm nurse arrived to hook me up and begin the job but then the fluid began leaking down my arm so had to start again. Finally completed at 2:15 and then I had to wait for discharge paperwork.
I walked out of the hospital at 3:15pm and caught a taxi home.

Diverticulitis, Dave. Apparently the oral ones weren't doing the job.

That's nasty case if you need the two bags back to back like that, hope this settles the inflammation and things start to flow smoothly for you real soon. Mine is hereditary, is yours hereditary or diet related?Newcastle George wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 10:45 amDiverticulitis, Dave. Apparently the oral ones weren't doing the job.

Good morning.
I took the hub off the car trailer...it needs new bearings.
Carol is selling one of the beds from the spare bedroom, that meant I had to dismantle it to get it out, it now sits in the shed waiting for someone to buy it...
That was about it for the day... cept for some gardening. The lawns need mowing again... can't wait for cold weather to stop the growth
Keep safe.
Bernie.
