Good morning everyone. We've had 25mm of steady rain here at Mulwala overnight. Certainly needed it. Maybe another 50mm or so, slow and steady, will be welcomed by those on the land.
It looks like Hervey Bay copped an absolute drenching by mate ex Cyclone.
It looks like we'll be able to get home now, if we're lucky.
Probably leave early tomorrow if all goes well.
Stay safe everybody.
Welcome home Dot and George.
Good morning daily

Re: Good morning daily
Dot, are you sure that you want to be home yet? xxxx
Today was a lovely drive out to Armidale. The rain is down to an occasional shower here. We are in a caravan park, because the showground is not ready for us to camp there yet after the show. We drove past the showgrounds and there are no rides or food vans left on site. They don't usually leave in such a hurry, but maybe need to get home to Qld to protect their homes.
We were also surprised to see that coles here has absolutely not a crumb in the veggie aisles and a sign saying this is due to the cyclone. Well Glen Innes had plenty of fruit n veg on Saturday, so it was surprising and we wished that we had bought up a few more pieces of fruit etc. before we left town.
We enjoyed a delicious pub lunch and will probably go back for another meal there before we leave town. Even with garlic bread I got change from a fifty dollar note. That has been rare for our pub meals of late. Good wholesome country cooking is what we were after and it was great value too.

Good morning.
Another day of rest
I got up to nothing...
Carol had a win...
We only got two showers through the day..not enough to make me look at the gauge...
And today will probably be a repeat of yesterday..
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Morning all,
Another day of 30 +. No rain. Grass is finally browning off.
We have hard rubbish this week. Usually, there are lots of people driving around looking for stuff. This year, only a couple.
Bernie, is watching the grass grow considered work?
Dave, if heading north today, safe travels.

Good morning All. 21*, cloudy and drizzly. 24 forecast and more rain.
We head off for the UK this afternoon for a 6 week stay. Hopefully, Sean will keep control of the rapidly growing grass while we are away.

Enjoy your trip George and Julie, often though about a trip to the UK and the USA when I retired .... no interest now, the world is a tad too crazy at the moment.
The weatherman non binary person, claims it is 35* outside, feels like 38* ..... with the cloud cover and humidity ..... in South Australia, who wudda thunk it, it feels more like the mid 40s
I need to get into wiring up this inverter, but 5 mins outside and I'm drenched in sweat ..... each day seems to compound on the last .....

G'day. It's warm and overcast on the Hume Hwy up neat Yass. Terrie is driving now. The road is busier than I thought it would be.
Enjoy your trip George and Julie.
Safe travels everybody, it is a crazy mixed up world out there.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone, from the 4 mile rest area, just south of Taree. We've had an uneventful trip so far. Hopefully it stays that way. A lot of drizzle and light rain from Goulburn onwards. And plenty of roadworks.
Hopefully, we'll get home this arvo.
Safe travels everybody.
