Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

A warm sunny day here in Upper Mannum. Second load of washing is on, a trip to the local hardware store and paid an exorbitant price for a roll of gasless mig wire, definitely a case of "time is money" costs nothing to drive the MG4 to Murray Bridge and back to the big hammer store, but costs about an hr for the road trip ..... Seems I work for $13 hr now, that's the difference between the local hardware price and Bunnings  close enough to twice the price

Good morning.
Yesterday started with a thick fog... and the temperature got to 30 degrees... weird weather... only a week from winter ❄️❄️.
I finished the other side of the hedge... just the top to do.
Herself will be off to her bingo with her mates...
I'm now in anticipation of receiving the wheel carrier this week sometime...I hope...
I may get to the hedge again today....or not 😜
Keep safe.
Bernie.

The wind at the moment would blow a dog off a chain. The whole sky looking in any direction is a cloud of dust. It is so dry out this way that what little topsoil there was around these parts is now forming a cloud from horizon to horizon.

So much for doing the washing yesterday, it was still too damp to bring in last night, now it will need to be rewashed

Just when it seemed to be at it's worst, it's now raining as well ..... and proper rain at that .... well mudding at the moment as the paddocks get washed out of the sky ......
Today might be an inside day me thinks, although Margaret is taking Brian to appointment and just got soaked getting in the car ..... the dog waited in the only spot under the awning the wind wasn't blowing the rain in ..... until Margaret had the car door open, then flurry of little dog legs and he was in the car

I like the aluminium drift, did you machine that for the job? We had to put up with a piece of hardwood because there were so many different size liners that having a tool for each one was considered extravagant by the bosses of every diesel workshop I worked at  Even Volvo .... they were paying $16.50 hr and charging $125hr when I left there in '86, can't imagine what their labour rate would be these days ...... but I bet they pay a lot better than $16.50 an hr

Machined Terry. I can't afford not too. $100 a liner.

Ouch $100 per liner, really, what's so special about them? Or was it $100 per liner, piston and ring set? ..... still pricey by the time you add bearings and gaskets, valves and lifters ....

No, per liner. Actually a little more. Japanese, chrome.

I think your $1000 est is out of date with today's prices.

Just saw a photo of Petels on the CMCA Members Connect Facebook page at the St George Solos Rally. Looks well.
Cheers
